An Israeli couple has confessed to stealing objects from the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi death camp memorial and have settled for a suspended prison term and a fine, officials said Saturday.

The couple were detained at Krakow airport on their way to Israel on Friday after border guards found a few old items, including knives, scissors and spoons inside a plastic bag in their luggage, memorial spokesman Bartosz Bartyzel told The Associated Press.

Yorktown is a Battlefield National Park...for BOTH the Revolution AND The Civil War.

It is a tragic place...and still fresh in people’s minds. Not a good idea to trivialize it with a TV show.

As long as there are still survivors, it should remain sacrosanct.

As in “OFF LIMITS”.

IMNSHO, Of Course.

The mere thought that someone stole items from the site is creepy enough.

You are very welcome.

I am sometimes hesitant to share these things, because they are a little “on the edge”.

I have had that feeling just once. It felt sort of like rubber bands were holding my hands back.

I don’t think it was an outside force tho. It was my conscience pulling on me.

The “Rubber Bands pulling your arm back” probably was conscience.

My Mom almost clocked her S-I-L (with good reason), but stopped just in time. (LOL)

I am not a superstitious person, but I do believe there are things that we do not yet understand.

I believe that there are things that only the Holy Spirit can enable us to understand.
