An Israeli couple has confessed to stealing objects from the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi death camp memorial and have settled for a suspended prison term and a fine, officials said Saturday.

The couple were detained at Krakow airport on their way to Israel on Friday after border guards found a few old items, including knives, scissors and spoons inside a plastic bag in their luggage, memorial spokesman Bartosz Bartyzel told The Associated Press.

This should make them very popular back in Israel.

At The Virginia Military Museum, unprotected by glass or Plexiglas, are the original gates of Dachau.

I reached out to touch it, but an invisible force field, like a cloud of evil, stopped my hand in mid air.

I recognized it. It felt EXACTLY the same as an invisible wall of spiritual energy that prevented me from entering the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount.

I don’t even presume to explain it. I just know what I felt.

How anyone can take stuff from Auschwitz is beyond my comprehension.

There was one other place I felt that malignant energy. In Hebron, in the mosque built over the Cave Of Machpelah.

I am not a superstitious person, but I do believe there are things that we do not yet understand.

My girlfriend was a volunteer docent(teaching guide) at Auschwitz for three years. I told her about my experience and she understood completely.

I wonder if that force was not the evil, but the protective hand of God shielding you from the evil.

Supposedly, no one is allowed to stay overnight at Auschwitz.

I read somewhere a few years ago that a couple of daredevils managed to sneak in or stay behind or something.

They said the place is seriously haunted.

A possibility, but I don’t think that G-d would give off such a nasty vibe, if you know what i mean.

On the other hand, it may be that God gave me a discernment, in order to sense the evil that was represented in those places, thus shielding me from it. That could be what you are referring to.

Daredevils? They had no idea what they were toying with!

If any place on the planet is seriously haunted, that would be it.

Thanks for the pic. The museum it's at is probably only about 40-50 min. from our house. We really should visit it sometime. How big is this museum btw? How many years ago did you visit it?

It’s on Warwick Blvd. There are two other wonderful Museums in the area, The Virginia Mariners Museum, and The Ft. Eustis Military Transportation Museum.

The War Museum is small on the outside, but give yourself a good three hours, because you will not believe the stuff INSIDE.
Uniforms from The Revolution, a Sherman Tank, a Chunk of the Berlin Wall, and of course, the “gate”.

And the Civil War Section is INCREDIBLE.

And THEN, There are, of Course, is the Colonial Triangle, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Busch Gardens!

There are, of Course, is the Colonial Triangle, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Busch Gardens!

Those places are all awesome! Seen them all except Yorktown!

“If any place on the planet is seriously haunted, that would be it.”

They need to stop sending GhostHunters to people’s dusty attics and send them where they might actually find somthing. I doubt the Poles would go for it though.

Yorktown is a Battlefield National Park...for BOTH the Revolution AND The Civil War.

It is a tragic place...and still fresh in people’s minds. Not a good idea to trivialize it with a TV show.

As long as there are still survivors, it should remain sacrosanct.

As in “OFF LIMITS”.

IMNSHO, Of Course.

The mere thought that someone stole items from the site is creepy enough.

I have had that feeling just once. It felt sort of like rubber bands were holding my hands back.

I don’t think it was an outside force tho. It was my conscience pulling on me.

The “Rubber Bands pulling your arm back” probably was conscience.

My Mom almost clocked her S-I-L (with good reason), but stopped just in time. (LOL)

I believe that there are things that only the Holy Spirit can enable us to understand.
