Doctor as renegade -- accepts cash, checks, eggs or pie, not insurance

I agree. Get rid of these HMO’s only have Major Medical. The cost for healthcare will plummet.

BTW, I use an internist who does cash discounts. $40.00 per visit.

My dermatologist no longer takes insurance. Cash check or credit card, he has done this for several years. I never offered eggs or pie.

My gosh, I am 48 and I still remember our family physician. Dr. Baim, had his office in his house, the exam room also had his desk, he had an enclosed sun room as his waiting room and his wife helped out. After each visit he gave you gumdrops. I have always associated gumdrops with Dr. Baim, lol.
