You show me the perfect candidate, declared or otherwise and I’ll vote for them. That perfect candidate does not exist. We must choose from the human beings that we are presented with.

What is a logical person like you doing here?

it doesn’t matter. if bachmann continues to sparkle as she has so far, she’s untouchable.

I was genuinely impressed by her debate performance, and her performance since. and she has gone to school on what the MSM did to sarah. they won’t be able to stuff her into the same box.

As a Conservative Texan, I think Perry would be no better than Obama.

He is all politician all the time, and he believes in nothing.

I’d vote third party before I’d vote for Perry.

TTC is a dead issue. Today’s deal is who can beat Bammy Boy and Governor Good Hair can do it. FIW I don’t live in Texas but thought the TTC was a very bad deal surrendering US sovereignty and tying us in with that pisshole Mexico

BOTTOM LINE-— I would rather be complaining about a President Rick Perry than a President Obama

My rule of thumb.

If I agree with any candidate on every issue 100% of the time, someone is lying. Either the candidate is lying to me or I’m lying to myself.

It was actually a Mexico to Indianapolis highway ~ with some side routes to Kansas City Missouri (KCMO), and quite probably a major link to Dayton, Ohio for further routing to points East and South.

You do realize there's NOTHING of consequence in any part of Canada that's due North of KCMO. Just forget those routes ~ that was a pipedream.

You're probably right. This country would be better off with four more years of OBozo.

You are right, so let’s keep Obama, he is just so great on illegal immigration and everything else.

TEXAN TILL I DIE!

Rick Perry stole health care from over 215,000 Texas children in 2003. He sent over $1 billion Texas taxpayer dollars back to Washington to be used in other states. He also created a health care privatization scheme that gave $899 million to a Bermuda-based company, making it as difficult as possible for parents to get health care for their kids. He will not hesitate to feather his own nest.

But would I vote for him for POTUS? Yes and No. Yes I would because it would get him out of Texas and No I wouldn't/couldn't do that to our country.

Accept the fact all here on FR and probably the Tea Parties want Sarah and nothing else.

How arrogant. You don't speak for me. I'll bet I'm not the only one.

Perry shouldn’t run. His negatives are too high and he needs to bone up on policy. He lacks the intellectual capacity seeing that he’s only been a Governor in the recent past. He should probably run for the Senate instead. He would be much better staying out of the race and acting as a king maker.

Definately a good combination.

The only way the wicked bastard wins again will be through massive voter fraud.

The Rick Perry who is all for the Mexico to Canada twelve lane highway to run through Texas? That Rick Perry?

As long as it contains nothing but on-ramps and no off-ramps, I'm all for it.

Yep, won't matter who you like or vote for.

The writing's on the wall.

Obama will win because I truely believe he is the Antichrist.

Look how so many people cover for him. They're immoral sheep.

I agree but if you try to reason with his fanclub, you'll hear the responses I posted. ("you want perfection", "you hate perry", "sarah palin's endorsement not good enough for you?")

Perry is on my acceptable list but there's no good reason for him to run and nothing unique he could bring to the GOP presidential primaries. He'd muddy up the field in the primaries and split the conservative vote more, making it easier for a RINO to be nominated, and if Perry somehow got nominated he'd be a weak general election nominee against Obama.

“to find out why Rick Perry appears so liberal”

He is not and does not appear liberal — people who are against him know that the worst thing you can accuse someone of at FR is of being a liberal, a RINO, etc., and figure if they repeat it often enough, people will start believing it, instead of doing their own research to find out the truth, that Perry is a social and fiscal conservative, anti-big government — just do a search on him on Google news of his recent actions: tort reform, calling a prayer meeting for governors in Aug, Texas has created nearly half of all jobs in the US and many other things. He also shoots coyotes, when they attack his dog.
