Kia Ad Sparks Pedophile Accusations
Fox Nation ^ | June 24, 2011 | N/A

A new Kia ad is raising eyebrows-with some even saying that it promotes pedophilia.

The ad, which promotes a dual-zone climate control feature in one of Kia's cars, took home the Silver Press Lion at the prestigious Cannes Lion Awards. But it is controversial, to say the least.

The ad features a teacher lusting after his elementary school-aged student. On one side of the page, she appears as a young girl. On the other side, though, she becomes a scantily clad, buxom teen, seemingly as a product of the teacher's imagination.

Seriously! Who would drive a KIA by KMA? Worst vehicle and company initials ever! Might as well be DOA by GTH or something! Yuck!

Jimminy christmas! Arrest everyone involved and give them a good whipping with a cane to teach them a lesson.

4. How crazy are the people who gave it an award at Cannes?? THIS passes for creativity? No one who looks at it is going to read that it’s a CAR ad. Insane.

I agree that it was a bad idea to create an ad that juxtaposes these kinds of images. If they are given the pedophilic interpretation that many are giving them, though, the whole point of the commercial is lost.

The point, it seems to me, is that the car can have two temperature zones: one not hot (the innocent one showing the preteen student) and one hot (the one showing the student who has assumed more womanly proportions). Note that the lustful part shows the more womanly form. That’s the opposite of pedophilia. A pedophilic fantasy would depict older students as being younger.

I see at least two things wrong with the ad, though. The innocent, non-hot images on the left seem to be directly — as if causally — connected with the hot ones on the right (though that’s not in keeping with the point of the ad). So the sequence of images does lend itself to the interpretation that the teacher is having lustful thoughts about the young student.

Also, as has been pointed out, the images on the right are themselves objectionable because teachers shouldn’t be having lustful thoughts about students, even those who have the physical appearance of mature women. (If the thoughts arise, at least they shouldn’t be acting upon them. Starting with “anatomy” implies that this might be about to happen).

The new world order approves of pedos. It may very well be a prerequsite to having a seat at the table with Obummer and Hellary.

Only sick, perverted minds would come up with that to advertise some “dual-zone” climate control system for cars. No other interpretation but that the teacher is imagining the young female student as a hot babe when older, and wishing she were older, and the student is having similar thoughts, or the teacher is hoping she’d have similar thoughts.

The sorts of thoughts people might have, but should never express.

I know what you mean. This is why schools should have uniforms or dress codes.

The problem is that the female uniforms have now been sexualized, such as in this ad. The “hot Catholic schoolgirl.” I guess it works the other way, with Elton John having (adult) male dancers dressed up in Boy Scout uniforms for one tour. I could ignore his lifestyle and enjoy the music, but not when he’s fantasizing about underaged boys.

"The ad is undoubtedly inappropriate, and on behalf of Kia Motors we apologize to those who have been offended by it," Kia said in a statement on its Facebook page. "We can guarantee this advertisement has never and will never be used in any form in the United States," they said.

Interesting link - thanks.
