Dork-Obama doesn’t understand that HE is the reason doctors are leaving their practices. Thank GOD he’ll only be a one term President.

Vote GOP!

I am expecting that all of the fools who actually supported this monstrosity (health care insurers, the AMA, etc.) are now seeing the handwriting on the wall and are about to do a 180 and start lobbying for repeal. Should be entertaining.

Interesting, doctors say if obamacare is enacted they will abandon their practices. Which of course means it will be harder to find a doctor which will create shortages.

So obamacare is enacted, doctors are abandoning their practices, it is harder to find a doctor and Obama wants to know why?

See my tagline.

Will doctors be prosecuted for refusing?

The shortage of physicians, which is created by governmental policies, will be solved by the import of doctors from Third World countries. Third World doctors are already the norm in some areas of our country. I will not go to a doctor in the area where I live(one could not understand them anyway!). The local "Medical Center" is known as "Death Manor." I travel 75 miles one way to go to an American physician.

However, the egalitarian will beam with joy when his physician is from Bangladesh, studied anatomy on a dog in a Quonset hut, and speaks a language known only to Phd linguists. Your surgeon of the future shall wear an ebony mask with feathers in the ear holes, shall dance while shaking spears and rattles.(The "elites" shall have quite different doctors: i.e. no masks, rattles, speak English and attended a real medical school that admits and trains only those with intelligence and character).

“Will doctors be prosecuted for refusing?”

Soon. Eventually. Especially if the democrats remain in power.

Government is the problem and needs to be neutered.

We need a whole bunch of new servants.

I see them more like fascists. They want to CONTROL all of it. They don’t want necessarily to OWN all of it because if things go bad and stuff fails or needs repair, they want private businesses to take the hit, be the bad guy, etc. If things go well its their policies and regulations that are keeping businesses in line and allowing them to prosper. PLus they get to control them essentially through ever expanding regulations, licenses, permits, etc. And get to expand government in the process. Now you really can’t do without government, look how hard it works to keep businesses in line and running well.

My first reaction was this article is cheer-leading for more 'guest workers' from third world countries with whom we share neither a language nor a culture to do 'jobs Americans can't/won't do'.

And what will the solution be if they find this is the case?

Something tyrannical, I'm sure.

It will also try to discover whether doctors are accepting patients with private insurance while turning away those in government health programs that pay lower reimbursement rates

They're going to do a million dollar study to find out what doctors openly advertise.

No hold your horses. First of all the article wasn’t written by the New York Slimes, second if you read the article you should have noticed it wasn’t exactly written as a compliment to the arrogant pos that currently resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Government regulation produces unintended consequences.

Why do you think the consequences are unintended?

This anti-doctor campaign will tip the balance: Most doctors will drop out of Medicaid and an escalating number will opt out of Medicare.

Their other option will be to leave the country for Singapore, etc. .... since many of them are foreign-born anyway, this won't be a large obstacle. My cardiologist is Indonesian, urologist German, opthalmologist Cubana. Only my ENT and GP are native-born.

s Oh, and my brother-in-law and his numerous physician relatives (cousins, brothers) are from Bombay, and my sister's BFF is from Honduras. So they have options, too.
