Why is Freerepublic.com blocked @ some US Military Installations?!

One should not be trying to access FR while on the job.Lunch at my desk is MY time to do with as I please.

Greetings US Navy Vet:
In 2005, while TAD at an USAF facility, I was surprised to find FR was blocked when using USAF browsers. So was DU. USCG, on the other hand, did not block either FR or DU.
