Seriously? Cops used to do this with revolvers. It’s not a Glock thing.
Discharge while holstering due to poor training is a Glock thing. :P

...and remember that unloading a gun involves more than removing the magazine.
But, who the hell ever pulls the trigger of any gun, loaded or supposedly unloaded while it is pointed at an innocent’s face?
This is at the very least a case of negligence, and more likely a case of attempted murder.

In the early 70’s one of my brother’s-in-law, a deputy at the time, accidently shot a friend in the calf with his 357 while they were walking to his car. The night before he had unloaded the weapon, but that morning his brother, also a deputy, had reloaded the 357 without telling him.

Lots of cops have Glocks. That means most cop accidents will be Glocks. This is not a fault of Glock, just stats.
But...who cleans a gun with live ammo on the table, let alone in the chamber?

"Recommendation: Unload gun before cleaning." I am always amazed by gun cleaning accidents. Whenever I unload one of my firearms, for cleaning or any reason, I always dump the mag, cycle the action to catch the one in the pipe, and then count the rounds. Cycle the action another time or two, then break it down. Call me paranoid.

With a Glock, you have to pull the trigger to remove the slide.
But seriously, who has a gun pointed at someone when pulling the trigger, even if you’re sure the gun is unloaded?

If I’m the detective assigned to this case I’m asking a lot of questions about this gun cleaning accident.
