Obama dives into debt talks (main problem is private jet owners while Moochelle vacations)

Obama dives into debt talks
By Stephen Collinson | AFP – Mon, Jun 27, 2011

The White House accused Republicans of siding with billionaires and private jet owners, as President Barack Obama waded into political talks designed to avert a "calamitous" US debt default.

Obama met the top Democrat in the Senate and his minority Republican counterpart, seeking to unpick a deadlock over his call on lawmakers to lift the $14.29 trillion debt ceiling by an August 2 deadline.

As political tensions rose, the White House warned of "calamitous" consequences to the global economy if the talks do not seal an agreement and Washington is forced into default and runs out of money to pay its bills.

"It's very important that we don't play chicken here, that we don't test the markets," White House spokesman Jay Carney said.

But Republicans, who quit talks with the White House last week accusing Obama of pushing tax hikes, again demanded big spending cuts in return for agreeing to lift the debt limit.

In the United States, Congress has to agree to lifting the cap on government borrowing, and has done so repeatedly in recent years at the urging of successive Democratic and Republican presidents.

But this time, congressional Republicans elected in a backlash against government, and on a platform of sweeping spending cuts in last November's mid-term polls, are demanding big concessions from the White House.

One jet, other than Hussein's secret getaways, employs how many people? A dozen or more?

The rookie sucks.

There is is, all hanging out for all to see.

Private aircraft owners, jet or otherwise, are bad bad guys who do not deserve such.

Meanwhile, Obummer, the Marxist now posing as a Fascist, and is family never let the engines cool on the aircraft available to the first family.

How many? I really don't know but we do know that there is Air Force One, a backup aircraft. Several helicopters, several that carry Secret Service people and other aircraft to transport equipment.

So bottom line: The ruling class is deserving and we are not.

Using the same logic, Barry:
You can take your security detail and go golf, you're just gonna pay for it!
You can take your family vacations, your're just gonna pay for it!
You can have weekly parties in the White Crib, your're just gonna pay for it!
You can go out, get wee-weed up, and act stupidly, your're just gonna pay for it!

Let's get serious and make some REAL cuts, knucklehead!

Other than the giant hypocrisy of this - given that he courts private jet owning donors and gives them exemptions the rest of us don't get - private jets create a living for a lot of people. I should know, we're in that business. On one flight it was noted that the owners were all Democrats and the crew were all Republicans.

Just like DEMOCRAT Nancy Pelosi when she became Speaker of the House, she ordered $500 million worth of Air Force jets to fly her and her family around, all the while denouncing CEOs using jets.

For all intents and purposes, obama has the biggest and most expensive "private" jet of all. I mean, he uses it for golf outings, campaign stops, flyover photography, nights on the town in NY, and visiting his "ancestors" in Ireland.

And he's got several other "private" jets used for such things as flying in his favorite party "beef" from overseas, flying in his favorite pizza chef from Chicago, and sending moochie on lavish shopping trips around the planet.

How about, "obama you turn in your private jet and we'll turn in ours.".

At least the corporate "fat cats" buy they own fuel and provisions for their "private jets"...obama uses the taxpayers to pay off his "political favors".

We will not win with obama fighting "big government"...we will only win calling it like it is and fighting obama...period.

The "government" is what he and his liberal minions have made it, it is not OUR government...the American government - guided by our Constitution - has been transformed into some sort of bizzario euro-aisan, marxisit-socialist roll of toilet paper.

By strict and prominent definition, the "government" of the United States of America, is THE PEOPLE. The people in DC are hired to do the paperwork and handle the basic logistics of the fundamental duties of government, and not to be totalitarian dictators claiming our lives and fortunes for their own.

But, if we keep sitting on our haunches, that's what will happen.

For some reason liberals think private jets are bad(unless they get to ride on them), and that limosenes are good?

How much did Pelosi spend on booze-Jet A-n-grub when she had the airforce flying her around? Anyone remember?

My guess is that the SEIU wants state control of private aviation.

I’m betting 100-0 that Obozo and Moosechelle will be taking a “private jet” to Boston, and then another “private jet helicopter” to Martha’s Vineyard for their annual Shut-Down Cape and Islands Business vaca.

The US Justice Department has a fleet of executive jets that dwarfs the entire fleet of Federal Express. Falcon 20's, Falcon 50's, Gulfstreams, Citation II and III, Hawkers, and Lears. Each plane has a dedicated flight crew and flight attendant.

It's good to be a public fatcat.

“calamitous” US debt default

the sorry excuse for a president much less a half black man, needs to get off the calamitous harangue and join the effort to save what’s left of the country he so deliciously desires to destroy.

Does Mr Obama do ANYTHING except mimic Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals?

Is his brain nothing but a sieve through which ideas are filtered and then regurgitated as Saul Alinsky's mantra?

He IS his mother's child ... and if Obama Sr isn't his father, he has memorized his 'thesis' that Government has the 'right' to take 100% of a person's wages [note, this is not 100% of a RICH LIBERAL'S MONEY OR INCOME!] as long as Government provides "adequately" for the person. The operative word is "adequately" which to a RICH LIBERAL like George Soros means 'survival, just enough to continue to produce."

THIS is the life Obama and Soros wish for all of us!

the White House warned of "calamitous" consequences to the global economy if the talks do not seal an agreement and Washington is forced into default and runs out of money to pay its bills.

Then let it fall as far as I'm concerned. I frankly don't give a rats butt about the "global economy" as it's all about the elites/politicians and others... and the power they are trying desperately to hold onto. The guy on the street knows how to survive...he's had years of experience.

The elites ,however, are scared crapless they will loose their lifestyles and the revenue machine from the poplulace they feed from... and of which few can do without.

This has nothing to do whatsoever of or for the people.

“The White House accused Republicans of siding with billionaires and private jet owners,”

Geez, can they get any more transparent in their wealth re-distribution wet dreams? The reality is that they actually have no desire to redistribute wealth, instead they are wanting to increase income tax. They prefer to tax productivity and not touch wealth. If they really wanted to tax wealth, they would go after their buddies’ trust funds and Soros’ billions.

“One jet, other than Hussein’s secret getaways, employs how many people? A dozen or more?”

I operate five Citation jets. I employ ten pilots and four full time mechanics. Our Fixed Base Operation has three office personnel and about ten full and part-time line personnel. We buy insurance. We buy maintenance from other providers. We buy fuel at outlying destinations. We rent cars. We rent hotel rooms. We eat at restaurants. We buy training. We buy spare parts. We replinish the aircrafts consumables (tires, hoses, filters, nitrogen, oxygen, lavatory, coffe, ice, soft drinks, snacks, etc.) We pay landing fees. We pay ramp fees. We pay Federal Excise Tax (the source fo 75% of the FAA’s funding). We use U.S. Customs. We DO NOT use TSA (Thank God.)

Are our customers fat cats? Yes, some of them are. And they choose to spend the earnings from their work playing golf, skiing, gambling, etc. But many of our trips are for business. A businessperson whose value to the company is valued at hundreds or thousands of dollars per hour does not want to sit in a terminal. They want to travel on their schedule to local airports, not the major hubs. They can conduct business during the flight.

And then we have the emergency medical trips. Many times I get a call at 2 a.m. asking me to deliver a heart, a liver, etc. And if I don’t, someone might not live much longer.

I could go on, but I bet you are getting some insight into ‘fat cat’ aviation.

If he cares so much for the under class, why does he keep giving borrowed money to foreign and local banks? Why does he hand out our borrowed money to other countries? Why cant we account for where all this money is going? Why does all the money he hands out turns out to be horrible investment. If he used the same business sense with his portfolio, he’d be broke. This gimmick is old, times up, most of us have his number by now. He doesn’t care about the children, they are pawns for more money, ie: ‘think of the children.’
