Topeka, KS -- The Planned parenthood abortion business has been denied a license to do abortions in the state of Kansas under a new law that requires abortion centers to meet the same health and safety standards as legitimate outpatient centers.

Planned Parenthood thinks it’s a law unto itself.

They’re performing invasive procedures, yet are protesting the requirement to meet the clinical standards of a legitimate outpatient facility...

And the left always brings up the “dirty coathanger” canard.

Can I sue my state to practice medicine in my barn?

It’s probably cleaner than a Planned Barrenhood abortion “clinic”. Even with the chickens, sheep and goats we have in there.

I would like to see this law nationwide. There are probably no clicnics clean enough to pass a resturnat inspection let alone one for surgery.

So much for Planned Parenthood's concern for the health and safety of women.

Planned Parenthood is suing the state of Kansas in order to be able to perform abortions in places that are unsafe and unsanitary.

The next time someone tells me that I should support Planned Parenthood, I think I will tell them that Planned Parenthood, instead of using its money to upgrade its "clinics" in Kansas in order to make them safe and healthy for women, chose instead to sue the state of Kansas in order to be allowed to keep its "clinics" in unsafe conditions.

Seems like a sensible precaution/requirement to me.

Abortion has been with us always. One can find references in the Greek and Roman texts. In america the advent of the industrial age probably increased its frequency, but not its hygiene. Helluva choice for a woman. Sepsis from a bad abortion, or sepsis from doctor’s/midwife’s dirty hands.

Can’t think of any reason why anyone would want to condem today’s women to suffering less than good sterile antiseptic conditions for the procedure, even if you don’t agree with its morality. >PS

"Abortion has been with us always."

So has murder.

"Can’t think of any reason why anyone would want to condem today’s women to suffering less than good sterile antiseptic conditions for the procedure, even if you don’t agree with its morality."

Likewise I can't think of any reason why anyone would want to condemn today's murderer's to suffering less than the good sterile antiseptic conditions a modern .45 ACP offers for the procedure, even if you don't agree with it's morality.

(do I need it?)

Many of these requirements were already in place but the KS Dept. of Health refused to require them of the abortion "clinics."

KS was a cesspool of blood money to buy of most of those with the guts to take them on or even to insist that they comply with actual KS statute.

Even the gutless RINOs in the KS legislature (in the past) didn't hesitate to put some of these limits in place, knowing that those in the position to ensure compliance would look the other way and judges would wink at following the law.

After one judge, not even a pro-lifer, Anderson, looked at Tiller & PPs records realized both had been flouting the laws for years and an AG (Phill Kline) had the courage to go after both (being sued by the State of KS (Sebelius) the latter KS AG and the entire KS Supreme Court chose to gag Anderson and bankrupt Kline in the process --- now, the day of reckoning just may be in the future for KS.

How much does an abortion license cost?

Perhaps conservative states should consider doubling the cost every year until nobody wants to pay for the license?

They will surely devise some kind of work-around for this setback.

"I’m male. I don’t have a dog in this fight."

You may and simply be denying it.

"Just pointing out those ignorant of history are doomed - and decidedly intent upon make all - repeat other’s mistakes."

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are ignorant of history or that they are "decidedly intent upon make all - repeat other's mistakes".

If you knew your history the observation would be perfectly comprehensible and pellucidly clear, Sir.

BTW, re your “.45” automatic” : bullets are never “sterile”.
Lots of history on the frequency of sepsis following gunshot. Channel former President James Garfield for a first-hand account.

IMHO, any male claiming pre-eminence in the control of women’s procreative processes is demeaning women. Its demoting them to the status of “procreative cow”, rather than a thinking, rational adult peers merely as a consequence of their sex.

Never said it wasn't, Sir.

I'm sure that 45 ACP rounds can be created that are as sterile as any abortionist's scissors. That would address your only objection.

In similar fashion, any person claiming pre-eminence in the control of a murderer's terminative processes is demeaning murderers. It demotes them to the status of "incarcerated worm" rather than thinking, rational adult peers merely as a consequence of their choice.
