Is Strauss-Khan sex assault case about to collapse?
Daily Mail ^ | 5:02 AM on 1st July 2011 | By Daily Mail Reporter

The sexual assault case against ex IMF boss Dominique Strauss-Khan is close to collapse, it was tonight revealed.

The New York hotel maid who accused Strauss-Khan of raping her in his $3,000-a-night suite, lied to investigators, law enforcement sources told the New York Times.

Despite a wealth of forensic evidence against the 62-year-old, prosecutors have dismissed a lot of what the maid said about the alleged encounter, according to the newspaper.

Very possibly a set-up to get DSK out of the way.

If so, the US Atty (Cyrus Vance) and others are going to look pretty bad...

According to the NYT she seems to be a money launderer for drug deals. Looks like she gave so many false answers to questions about her life that her credibility is is doubt.

Also, if I read this correctly, she talked to a guy in prison on the phone, not knowing that the call was being recorded, in which she talked about how to benefit from the rape accusation. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/01/nyregion/strauss-kahn-case-seen-as-in-jeopardy.html?hp

Since what we hear in the newspapers is probably only 50% of the whole story - I will feel free to wildly speculate....

The woman was a Pro, and when she learned who the guy was, thought that a big pay-off was possible. Or, she was a Pro, and knowing DSK’s predilections, one of his many political enemies sent her, hoping DSK would take the bait and leave a bit of DNA.....

Excellent lawyers at work behind the scenes, they will walk this dirt bag. An acquaintance who worked for a huge New York law firm told me they had entire teams of investigators and researchers at their disposal. They will find out everything this woman ever did in her life until she is being put on trial herself. Basic Wild Kingdom stuff here, things tend to get eaten alive when they mess with the big predators.

Dominique Strauss-Khan possibly paid for sex and the hooker went for some extra satisfaction. Can’t feel too sorry for him, if ya plays ya pays.

I certainly believe the New York Times when they quote unnamed law enforcement sources.

You have a real point there. You would think, that he and others would have learned by now to be faithful or pay a professional.

Doubts: There are issues involving the asylum application of the Guinean maid, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, as well as her possible link to the criminal world

If the U.S. free press were committed to truth instead of propaganda, its journalists would discover the truth in this case and bring it to the public--and not only in this case but in all cases.

Unfortunately, the U.S. free press is a propaganda machine; its so-called "journalists" spew forth propaganda with no interest whatsoever in truth; and truth for its own sake is not merely of no concern but is, in fact, scorned.

The scorn of truth is the fundamental failure of Western Civilization and the fundamental cause of its decadence and destruction.

According to the two law enforcement officials, the woman had a phone conversation with an incarcerated man within a day of her encounter with Mr. Strauss Kahn in which she discussed the possible benefits of pursing the charges against him. The conversation was recorded.

That man, the investigators learned, had been arrested on charges of possessing 400 pounds of marijuana. He was among a number of individuals who made multiple cash deposits, totaling around $100,000, into the woman’s bank account over the last two years. The deposits were made in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia and New York.

They also learned that she was paying hundreds of dollars every month in phone charges to five different companies. The woman insisted she only had a single phone and said she knew nothing about the deposits except that they were made by a man she described as her fiancé and his friends.

In addition, the official said, she told investigators that part of her application for asylum included a previous rape, but there was no such account in the application. She also told them that she had been subjected to genital mutilation, but her account to the investigators differed from what was contained in the asylum application.

All I do know for certain is that after the charges were filed and announced (along with the arrest) the media has been more than eager to go along with the ‘fact’ that he was a rapist and there was a huge protest by maids against him (and rape in general) and everyone was crucifying him, including his neighbors who made it patently clear that he wasn’t welcome to live there, instead of just being (at least in public) noncommital and discreet.

The French are endowed by their creator to have sex with anyone they desire at any time.

And to surrender to everyone else, and to receive protection from the US and to collect monetary aid from the US to cover any damages they suffer that the US is unable to prevent.
