FBI to Federal Judge: OKC Bombing Videotapes ‘Might Have Been Misfiled, Impossible to Know Where’
http://biggovernment.com ^ | July 01 2011 | Bob McCarty

Posted on 07/02/2011 8:08:27 AM PDT by Para-Ord.45

In a response filed yesterday to a federal judge’s order May 11, an FBI official offered no denials about the existence of video images captured by more than 20 surveillance cameras operating prior to 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995, in the vicinity of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. Instead, he explained that officials at the bureau merely cannot find the tapes and raised the possibility that they “might have been misfiled and thus could be located somewhere other than in the OKBOMB file (though it would be impossible to know where).”

The order, issued by Judge Clark Waddoup in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, Central Division, stemmed from the bureau’s failure to comply with a three-year-old Freedom of Information Act request submitted by Salt Lake City lawyer Jesse Trentadue, a man on a quest for answers related to the Oklahoma City Bombing and the death of his brother, Kenneth Trentadue, who died under suspicious circumstances several months later while in custody at the U.S. Bureau of Prisons Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City.

“There is no affidavit from someone within the FBI stating that the tapes do not exist,” he wrote, adding that FBI officials couldn’t make such a claim, because it would conflict with three sworn affidavits, the contents of which had already been made public in a post published April 7. In that post, I shared documents Trentadue had shared with me that contain fodder provided by three people — OKC police officer Don Browning, private security specialist Bradford Cooley and FBI Agent Ricardo Ojeda — that sheds light on the FBI’s response to the FOIA request.

Browning noted in a declaration to the court that he and other non-federal rescuers were ordered to leave the Murrah Building soon after the bomb exploded despite the need to move quickly in hopes of locating and, hopefully, saving victims trapped by the blast. In addition, he wrote the following:

That same morning, I observed men wearing jackets with “FBI” printed on the back removing the surveillance video cameras from the exterior of the Murrah Federal Building. I thought this was part of the FBI’s evidence gathering or “chain of custody” procedures since those exterior cameras would have shown and recorded delivery of the bomb in a Ryder truck that morning as well as the person or persons who exited that truck. I knew from my training and experience as a police officer that an investigation of the bombing and prosecution of those involved would require not only preserving the videotapes of the event but also require preserving the cameras and tape decks by which those videotapes were made. Nevertheless, I did think it odd that the FBI’s removal of those cameras was taking place while many people were still trapped alive in the rubble of the Murrah Federal Building and so many of us were working desperately to find them.

Cooley’s declaration, in which he outlined his knowledge of the surveillance systems at the Murrah Building, included the following hard-to-ignore observations:

From my knowledge of the video surveillance system in place at the Murrah Federal Building, an my presence on scene just after the bomb exploded, I have no doubt that the two external cameras on the Northwest and Northeast corners of the Building would certainly have recorded the entire event. Those cameras would even have recorded the delivery of the bomb to the Murrah Federal Building in a Ryder truck and, most importantly, those cameras would also have recorded everyone who exited that truck prior to the explosion. Because of their distance from the Murrah Federal Building, ADT’s offices were not destroyed or otherwise damaged in the bombing, which means that the videotapes should still exist.

In a sworn affidavit dated May 21, 2001, Ojeda outlined how the FBI handled information they did not want to see brought up in court:

The FBI also kept “zero files,” which were reports containing information that the FBI would not generally want disclosed to the defense and which were kept separate from a specific case file. These files were kept internally within the Bureau and typically were not turned over to the prosecution or the defense. Files would be assigned numbers bases on the type of offense or investigation involved, for example, a bank robbery would be assigned a particular number. A letter A after that number would mean highest importance. A zero after that number would mean that the report should go into the “zero” file.

On the last page of his affidavit, Ojeda added the statement below: Although there are many very good FBI agents, there are also FBI agents, including some who worked on the Oklahoma City bombing case, who are willing to subvert the truth in order to protect fellow agents.

In addition to the conflicts surfacing between the FBI’s stance and statements made in the affidavits above, it appears FBI officials are playing a shell game with Jesse Trentadue and the judge.

Jesse Trentadue pointed out that, for the first time in three years, the FBI said that all Oklahoma City Bombing-related evidence and documents are in a warehouse somewhere in Oklahoma City. In addition, he noted that bureau officials misrepresented the purpose of the S-Drive before the court.

“This was the time and the place for FBI officials to come forward with evidence of no tapes, but they did not,” said Jesse Trentadue during an interview Friday about the matter. “They are, in plain English, in contempt of the court’s order.”

It is not a party event. It is a shadow government event.

The Feds knew it was going to happen, that is why there were no FBI or ATF agents killed in the bombing. They were all out somehere.

Clinton needed an excuse to go after the rapidly growing militia movement in the USA. By tying McVey to having visited one militia for one time was all he needed. Didn’t seem strange that McVey was executed so quickly after trail. It ofter takes twenty years to get someone executed but McVey got it within a few montha to 1 year.

I don't believe that was any conspiracy to stage a Reichstags fire like incendent, I do believe that US government mounted a massive cover up after the fact.

This was the administration that tipped off the media about the ATF's upcoming dog and pony show at Waco

If the truth ever comes out I believe we will find out that McVey went somewhere other then expected

Now I wonder what really happened at OKC. Our Government has lost any and all credibility.

Read the book "The Third Terrorist" by Janya Davis.

This concerns me in that ..all evidence/documents located in a warehouse somewhere in OKC. Recall the St.L Army Personnel Records center fire in 1973. Many WW-2 vets lost all record of their service. Others, partial loss. Just sayin’...

Your shadow government at work.
This is on a par with the Flight 800 government lie-fest.

Well it is plausible that they've been mislocated. It's been a number of years, and who put what where and what kind of record keeping is done - and the upshot can be a lot of confusion.

On the other hand, "But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design ... "

It's hard to believe conspiracies exist, or that secrets can be kept. But they can. And there just seems to be so much, so often, so widespread . . . Once upon a time, long ago and far away we used to give the benefit of the doubt.

Oh, not the “old lost, probably misfiled” excuse, again.
About as hoary as the “dog ate my homework” excuse.

Whatever the facts, the response was all out of proportion.

There seems to be no balance anymore. Something is seriously broken.

Judge Clark Waddoup should charge the top 100 FBI officials, the entire FBI div in OK, and every records supervisor with contempt of court. This allows for damn near infinite incarceration. Further he should direct mobilization of US Marshall’s Service to seize ALL FBI document repositories, computers etc. Oh contempt charges against WJC, all WH aides, Janet Reno, ATF, anyone on the edges.

A fellow can dream big, can’t he?

McVey, on his own part, seemed strangely copacetic with going swiftly into that good night. Mounted a perfunctory defense and did not press appeals. Perhaps he intended to perish in the initially planned bombing.

I have always believed that the FBI had an informant in the bomber group - who was actually a triple agent and burned them.

The “missing” videos would show cell members who are inconsistent with the official narrative (e.g a Filipino Muslim and some others not previously known to the public).

The videos would probably also show a secondary explosion caused when an illegal military weapons cache that was located in the building cooked off.

I would expect copies of some of the missing videos will be found - in the storage unit of a retired FBI agent after following the instructions from a posthumous note

In addition to the conflicts surfacing between the FBI’s stance and statements made in the affidavits above, it appears FBI officials are playing a shell game with the people of OKC and all American citizens.

My personal investigations re OKBOMB convinced me that the very last place to look for honesty, truth and justice is the F B I.

Prior to Waco, I was fooled into believing that the image of the Feebs promulgated in the TV series, "The FBI in Peace and War" was factual. OKC forever destroyed that misplaced hero-worship... :-(

This videotape fiasco (once again) proves that the FBI is institutionally unable (or, worse, unwilling) to maintain a chain of custody of evidence. Without that, what do they have to offer?

No cover up of what REALLY went down in Oklahoma city, nope none.
Is there any reason to believe the Feds tell us about anything at this point?
FBI, BATF, State Dept. ETC. ETC. all are complicite, dirty and covering up this and all kinds of other crap.
One questions anything and you are a tin foil hat nut?
The airliber shot down over Long Island, you believe a fuel tank malfunction took her down you must also think O.J. was truely innocent.

You've gotten that posted reply from someone else confused with me.

But nonetheless, us old geezers still have it a lot tougher than you younger ladies and gentlemen. We remember the nation of the 50's and were taught history that was valiant and watch this nation grow into a world leader through hard work, truth, justice and the "American Way!!!"

Now, all that is being "PUNKED" by a bunch of spoiled pukers!!!
