I have never relished the notion that a sitting President, duly-elected, would ever be bounced from office because of something beyond his or her control, but that doesn’t mean we can ignore facts. Ignoring the facts is exactly what has delivered this nation to the brink of disaster.
Before the release of Obama’s alleged long-form birth certificate I was of the opinion that the President was on much firmer ground legally if such a document was never released.
Why? Because, dear comrade, much more germane to the establishment of “natural-born” bona fides is the citizenship of the parents, not the place of birth. Since Obama’s likely father was Barack Sr., it was probable that the long-form birth certificate would actually establish once and for all that Barack Jr., although still probably a U.S. citizen, was ineligible to be President.

My point is, many of us need to stop pushing Marco and/or Bobby for a VP spot if they are not eligible. I firmly believe that whomever wins Florida in 2012 wins the Presidency and I felt that we needed Marco Rubio on the Ticket in the VP spot to accomplish that. But, if he’s not eligible, it’s a moot point.

Obama has LOST this issue in the most important court of all: The court of public opinion. Polls show that. Yes, it is true that it is unlikely that there is even one man of good character with any influence in the entire United States willing to take this on....but...there is NO WAY that Obama can get past this in the 2012 election.
At one timeI thought I and my brother (killed in the battle for Okinawa) could be POTUSA. However, I’ve taken a different view now that the matter with Obama’s eligibility has been explored. Neither my brother nor I could be POTUSA because our parents were immigrants without naturalization at the time of our births. OK with me to be a plain citizen of an exceptional Nation.

Obama will lose in 2012 because of what he has done to America, most importantly, the economy. Apparently you are not up to speed. Leo Donofrio argues that Minor v Happersett is a supreme court precedent where the court rules that the fact of Minor having two citizen parents and born in the United States makes her a "Natural Born Citizen." He further argues that they did not invoke the 14th amendment to make this ruling (as they did in Wong Kim Ark) and therefore it is based on original law. To sum it up, it proves what the Supreme Courts understanding of original law was, and it conforms to the two citizen parent born on the soil position.

Clear thinking is indeed required, but without accurate facts it will still lead you astray. The Minor v. Happersett decision provides some of those accurate facts.
Rogers v. Bellei provides another fact. In that case, the Supreme court ruled that being the child of one American Citizen isn't enough to be a "Natural born citizen." Bellei LOST his citizenship because he didn't reside in the United States long enough. A "Natural born citizen" could NOT lose his citizenship through inaction.

Roe v. Wade enjoyed plenty of success in the court room. The ruling of the court is that the Amendment granting citizenship to slaves (14th) means that it's okay for women (Who couldn't even vote in 1868) to kill their unborn children.
Dred Scott v. Sanford enjoyed plenty of success in the court room. (Slaves are property.) So did Plessy v. Ferguson. (Separate but Equal.) I hear the KELO V. NEW LONDON (Theft of Private Property) was also popular with the Supreme court. Miranda v. Arizona (lying rapist get's confession thrown out. Convicted anyway.) was successful in court.
Pardon me if I don't regard success in the court as proof of legitimacy. The courts have become "democracy by other means" rather than an objective interpreter of the truth. Often a majority in the court simply means all the idiots are on the same side.
I think you are right. Obama is the stink in the room that represents the larger stink in our nation. TOO much power is in the hands of those who control the discussion. Lawyers, Professors, News, Media, everyone who has an outsized influence on what the public is told all lean left/liberal. For years I have suggested that Republicans file affirmative action lawsuits against media corps and colleges alleging discrimination against conservatives in hiring. I've also suggested legal action against media corps for providing free political advertising for Liberal politicians in the guise of slanted news and commentary. Every News person should have a [D] under their name when they are on the air so the public would know which party they are getting their news from.

People treat Leo Donofrio as if he is an authority on the subject. He is not. He is a blogger, amateur poker player, sometime musician and an individual who despite somehow passing the bar and possessing a license to practice law, has never succeeded in any legal case. His "analysis" enjoy the support of no one outside of the birther circus, outside of people who want so desperately for there to be something, anything, that will magically and instantly nullify the Obama Presidency.
Donofrio's views are supported by no reputable conservative politician, commentator or conservative legal foundation.

I to fear that we have been had. It is beyond belief that not one person in authority, not one elected official, nor a single judge has found that the people have any standing to even ask the questions that would reveal the travesty.
