Barack Obama to ask New York governor Andrew Cuomo to be his 2012 running mate for vice president
The New York Post ^ | 7/4/2011 | Fredric Dicker

A Prominent Republican is joining a prominent Democrat in predicting that Gov. Cuomo will become President Obama's running mate for vice president next year.

Former New York GOP boss William Powers, credited with playing a key role in electing Rudy Giuliani mayor and George Pataki governor, was effusive in his praise of Cuomo's successes in the just-ended legislative session, and in his prediction of the freshman governor's political future.

"Andrew had a fabulous session. It was fabulous. A property-tax cap, ethics reform and, for Democrats, gay marriage," said Powers.

My suspicion is that the Gay marriage crowd are trying to convince Obama to switch VPs.

Yep, what better way for Obama to push his support for homosexual marriage than to run with the homosexual marriage governor.

Obama has taken many administrative actions to push us towards homosexual marriage, without ever coming out and saying that he supports same-sex marriage. It’s so obviously transparent to those of us who follow politics. But Obama will continue to say he believes marriage is a man and a woman, while setting the stage for nationwide same-sex marriage.

If he dumps Biden, stiff-arms the Hildabeast, and goes straight to Cuomo, setting him up as the likely nominee in 2016 if they win in 2012, look for fireworks from the Clinton camp. All the crap her opposition research people came up with in 2008 but sat on will come out.

Ya, would Cuomo want to sink with Obama in the 2012 election? That won’t help Cuomo’s future political career?

Isn’t Cuomo still in his first term as governor? If he really sees a political future beyond Albany, he would be smart to decline any invitations to be Obama’s running mate.

Wow!!!

Even less experience then Palin. I bet the MSM will get right on this. On the bright side, this would be a great opportunity for someone to pick Perry as their VP.

Palin and Perry. Energy independence and creating more jobs then every state in the union...combined. Versus an anti-American Islamic Marxist and the gay marriage governor.

First thing I would do is neutralize the MSM.

True enough. If Obama’s people are worried about whether they will carry New York, and want Cuomo to help them in that state, they have much bigger problems in this campaign than anyone else suspected.

It won't do him any good because no one will vote for him,I mean no one besides the queers, black, and liberals..and more than likely he has really walking a thin line with the liberal people..

We all have his Communist number now so we need to make sure everyone else has it too and he cannot steal this election..I think the idiot could have the pope for a running mate and he would still lose..
