Media Matters sucks.

A liberal site that lies and cheats? They'd probably steal if they could get away with it...

Ruining people’s lives is what liberals do best.

Media Matters sucks.

But... how can DAT be? It was founded by Hillary Clinton and that nice man, Mr. Soros!

(Do I really need a sarcasm tag?)

So Juan Williams didn't fall for it.

Who's next?

I predict Kirsten Powers.

Will she bite?

...much the same as an abused wife who still believes her husband loves her.

I like that. Good analogy. The abused wife projects her good intentions onto her husband. For instance she wants to save the marriage, support her spouse, strengthen the family. She assumes, incorrectly, that her husband has the same goals. He does not.

This is the same kind of error conservatives make about liberals - they think liberals want what is best for the country but are just misguided. They do not. The liberal thinks like this:
1. I am jealous of others and I find myself living in a competitive society. I am afraid I will fail competing on a level playing field.
2. How can I rig the system, and align myself with others of like mind, to my own advantage.
3. I know. I will pose as someone who wants to help the dissadvantaged. This will allow me to siphon off the proceeds of someone else's hard work and altruism to my own advantage.
4. I may not succeed but at least I will impede the success of the people I am jealous of.

I agree. Some comments being posted here are just cynical. Hopefully, most FReepers can rise above cynicism.

I always gave him credit for being a gentleman. He never screamed, never called someone hurtful names, and he always provided answers that he actually believed were truthful.

Agreed.

Just because you can type a series of words into a box does not necessarily qualify them as a sentence.

I’ll never really understand the way our side (the right) fights. Juan was savaged by his own troops and left for dead on the side of the road. Silenced for good. Another enemy combatant cut off at the knees by others of his ilk. Down and out. Game over. Or so it seemed. The right pulled him from the ditched, bound his wounds, provided him a pulpit and contracted to pay him millions of dollars to kick us in the teeth daily. Why can’t we just leave well enough alone sometimes.

Media Matters should be declared a criminal organization. Their stated goal is to “destroy” anybody who disagrees with them. They belong in prison.

while people like Bob Beckel make me want to puke.

Agreed, although I can tolerate Beckel more than Alan Colmes. Beckel, at least, seems drunk most of the time. Colmes just seems like an antagonistic, stubborn, and ill-informed cry baby who acts like a degenerate in search of a victim to pounce upon.

Williams described the evolution of Media Matters:

“Obviously it’s not an honest watchdog group anymore. They used to monitor the media and point out things that were wrong, false, inappropriate, which is fine, but what you are hearing from Ari Rabin-Havt [Executive Vice President of Media Matters] is that really now they’re involved in opposition research. They are digging up dirt on people. They’re trying to ruin people’s lives and reputation because they disagree with their politics. And, in specific here, what they disagree with is conservative politics and they really don’t like Fox News.”

Williams is actually describing the "evolution" in his own perspective. Media Matters hasn't changed one iota.

Still, a slow learner is preferable to all those who never learn at all.

Media Matters is a Soros propoganda machine. The existence of Media Matters hinges on the existence of raging, childish, liberals.
