Could President Obama be growing tired of Vice President Joe Biden’s seemingly endless gaffes, or of what some perceive is Biden’s increasing irrelevance? So tired he would actually choose another running mate to lead him into 2012? If prominent political strategists including William Powers — the GOP power broker responsible for electing Rudy Giuliani mayor – are correct, Obama might consider replacing his current Vice President with freshman New York governor Andrew Cuomo. In turn, strategists predict Biden might then fill Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s shoes. Seriously?
Cuomo, who found his way into the spotlight recently with his strong support of same-sex marriage in New York State, received all kinds of kudos from Powers, who believes the first term governor is a shoe-in to be Obama’s running mate. Powers tells the New York Post:
“Andrew had a fabulous session. It was fabulous. A property-tax cap, ethics reform and, for Democrats, gay marriage,” said Powers.
“I don‘t think there’s any doubt Obama is going to pick him as his running mate. The president is in trouble and [Vice President Joseph] Biden doesn’t bring anything to his ticket.
“The president will call him up later this year and say, ‘Andrew, you have to do this for the good of the country.‘ What’s Andrew going to say, ‘No?’ “

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will give remarks at the Department’s first-ever Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) youth summit at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The two-day summit, “Creating and Maintaining Safe and Supportive Environments for LGBT Youth,” will take place Monday-Tuesday, June 6-7.
Duncan will highlight the Obama administration’s commitment to ensuring equal access to education for LGBT students as it does for all students. He also will discuss the Department’s Office for Civil Rights recently released guidance on the protection against harassment in an education setting based on gender, which includes gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender individuals.
The guidance, which was sent to schools, colleges and universities in a “Dear Colleague” letter, explains educators’ legal obligations to protect students from harassment based on racial and national origin, gender and disability.Read more at wnd.com

Sorry, Cuomo brings nothing to the table. New York is already in Obama’s pocket. There is no Republican in New York with either backbone or determination. They are all Obama wannabes or RINOs. Obama takes NY, CA & DC. The rest of the remaining 48 states vote against Obama, with the possible exception of a few. Obama will only carry between 8-12 states at the most. In fact, the Democrat Party would be wise to broom Obama right now!!! Yes, I admit Biden is a nitwit from head to toe, but Obama is toast with or without him!!! And......the Republicans should not spend one minute or one dollar in New York State!!!
