Casey Anthony has become the most vilified woman in America, condemned as a compulsive liar and heartless mother who murdered her own daughter so she could spend her life shopping and partying.
But with today's sensational not-guilty verdict, the 25-year-old could be free as early as Thursday morning to begin the slow process of rebuilding her life - and cash in on her new-found celebrity status.
There is already speculation the compelling case could be turned into a movie, and she is likely to be inundated with lucrative television and book deals worth millions of dollars.
Despite the acquittal of capital murder charges, the Casey family lawyer said it was too early to say if they would welcome Casey back.
Speaking after the verdict he said: 'The family hopes that they will be given the time by the media to reflect on this verdict and decide the best way to move forward privately.'
Although Casey smiled and broke into tears of delight as she learned she had escaped the death penalty, she is also likely to face the fear of attack from an angry public who were stunned by the jury's decision.
She will also have to confront her family, which was torn apart after her defence team dramatically accused both her father and brother of sexually abusing her.

Countless chat shows will give her the opportunity of telling her story for the first time - an offer she seems likely to take up, after her defence team had to dissuade her from giving testimony at the trial.
And because she has been found not guilty, there is nothing to stop Anthony selling her story to the highest bidder.

Once a not-guilty verdict is reached why would there be a delay in someone’s release?
This is disgusting. She murdered her child. Everyone knows it. They couldn’t prove “beyond the doubt” but she murdered her child.
When I listened to her so-called “defense attorney” pat himself on the back, and then go into a typical hand-wringing liberal attack on the death penalty, I about puked. He was so concerned about killing convicted murderers, that he forgot all about the murder of the little child....amazing how that works, ain’t it?
Why do I hate criminal defense attorneys? Let me count the ways....images of Johnny Cochran come to mind....

She was found guilty of 4 counts of lying to the police, they have to sentence her on that Thursday. Oh whoopeedoo!
Since she has already served over 3 years, she will probably walk Thursday!

I can't see people putting her up on a pedestal or pushing money her way. Sensible people won't do that. That kind of stuff does not happen in America! What next? He said after 4 days in that house with the Anthony's, he washed his hands of them & pulled his people out! Said they all need to be in Hollywood they are all such good actors, they are all liars & he said they all KNEW she was dead when he was there, trying to find an ALIVE child!!

She was convicted of 4 misdemeanor counts of lying to the Police.
From what I have read, each count carries a max of 1 year and and she is due to be sentenced tomorrow at 9:00 AM
I'm sure she's prepping her “coming out” attire and ‘look” for the approaching time she is seen leaving the jail. I would love it if the Judge slapped the two years on her that's possible even with her time served....but I imagine they want her out of there asp.
Some have said her attorney team will be outing her up for a time...which tells me they are all preparing for notoriety in the weeks ahead. Once the team has finished using Casey as such...they'll dump her. But by then she'll have offers otherwise and be on her own.
Unfortunately the general public will continue to eat anything fed about her...and the press will make sure she gets that for a time. But in the end she'll be like Octo-mom...working for a porn company somewhere...as she has no control of her spending no matter how much she earns. Will Casey come out roll-playing the innocent grieving mother, victim as she did in court , ....or clean herself up for her face to be splashed on News stands hollywood style?
