The scope of Eric Holder's disastrous 'Fast and Furious" ATF operation just keeps expanding. Now a single traffic stop in Phoenix has revealed 43 weapons with serial numbers traceable to the the ATF scandal - taken from 4 illegal aliens arrested in the stop. How many guns has this Administration put in the hands of gangs throughout the U.S. How many children will die in drive-bys using weapons Holder GAVE to criminals? And with the ATF Director now saying the DoJ obstructing the investigation, the House GOP must not stop until all responsible are rotting in jail. And what did Obama know and when did he know it?

Your logic matches mine. It is well known amongst the congressional investigators who should be charged, who should be reprimanded and who should be fired. So far all we see is transfers. As you said, a DOG AND PONY SHOW.

The current information is very negative toward this administration and a potential cover-up.
This has been part of my question of the entire trans-border-gun-show meme from the start, mine mainly on the basis of why buy semi-autos when full auto is available on the world's markets for less?
However when confronted with two points, I relent: First, that the purchases were for quantities of identical arms, not just a hodgepoge of single weapons. Second, that stimulus money may have underwritten some of the purchases!.
With that in mind, the advantages of outfitting personnel with identical arms with interchangeable parts is evident, and if fiscal support was forthcoming, a no-brainer.
So, yes, they could have obtained arms through other sources, but why?
Prior to looking at that, I couldn't see the need or even desireability of obtaining semi-automatic arms from the US and risking them being interdicted. But with the 'fix' in on the purchase and movement, the deal becomes more attractive and far less risky for the narcotraficantes.
Yep. We got three TV channels in those days, and programming was saturated with Watergate. Almost like Caylee Anthony now....(Which is tragic, but which the media seem to be using as a smokescreen to fill airtime which could be better used.)
Look for the next show trial to absorb the minds of viewers and continue the cloud while this is investigated.

All they need is 1 courageous US Attorney to step up and file charges. Once that's done, either the guilty go under the bus, or the entire administration goes down.
Quite possibly there are some psychological answers waiting there, regarding how they imagined themselves, the operation, and its outcome, I would think. But, you know, as one who hates Hollywood and doesn't watch its movies, I may be wrong.

The media won’t be “forced into line” just because someone comes forward with pertinent damaging information - that information has come forward, and the media have been doing their level best to keep it under wraps and so far they’ve been succeeding - heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone at NYT or WaPo didn’t pay off the jurors in the Casey case just so that they’d have a scandal that would keep anything of substance - like Fast & Furious - off the front pages and off peoples’ minds.

Lemme tell ya, if *evidence* is revealed connecting the AG, or President regarding illegalities in this matter, with their knowledge, the news media, reluctantly or not will get on board.

No, you're here talking about it so is is being disseminated by sources. BTW, if you have proof, the AG or POTUS broke laws here and or had knowledge, I'd like to hear it. Otherwise your going to have to wait until evidence is revealed/brought forward connecting those at the top of wrong doing.

This is a massive scandal and yet the few MSM groups (not conservative ones) that have reported call it a ‘controversy’. Politico is very careful to focus the ‘controversy’ on Melson and not Holder or Obama.
Fortunately, so many of the comments from their readers clearly state that they see through Politico’s attempt to keep the blame at the ATF level. With the unbelievable obstruction by Holder and company, a lot more should already be reported in the news.
