How does that compare to incidents during the same period relating to other medical procedures in doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other such facilities?

In an abortion-murder procedure, at least one person is always killed.
This is not true for any other rmedical procedure of which I am aware.

Then by your re-definition, the procedures weren’t “botched” as suggested by Op.
Kayne West’s mother died during a tummy-tuck and breast lift. Any surgical procedure comes with risks, with or without your or my approval of the procedure. Brain surgery, appendicitis, or abortion, some people don’t go home.
I’m simply curious what these calls actually prove. Other then that any surgery is a risk.
What the calls prove is, maybe you are a little bit Pro-Abortion?
bump!
The calls show a callous disregard for the safety of their patients ,, why should they care , they’ve already gotten a cashiers check or charged their VISA or MasterCard right? These surgical facilities have no real oversight or ability to deal with an emergency ,, they don’t even have wide enough hallways to get a wheeled gurney in to evacuate their victim most of the time.
The way to shut them down is to sue them over these errors; repeatedly.

You display very poor logic. Unsurprisingly of course since the article is an appeal to kneejerk emotions. Not facts, context, or reason.
The CALLS prove surgery is a risk.
My POST proves I am a little bit anti cheap demagoguery.
Two different matters.

The figure mostly commonly bandied about is that there are over 100,000 deaths per year in the US due to medical malpractice from all causes. Even in modern hospitals with the widest corridors. Lawyers are already not shy about pursuing legitimate (and even not so legitimate) claims of malpractice. Ask any OB-GYN, if you can find one who hasn’t been sued to exhaustion and chucked the practice.
Plus there are many more due to such issues as infection. And yet more are lost despite the best care ( ie- sometimes the magic just doesn’t work).
None of which really addressed. And I don’t suppose it will be.
So I will put you down as Pro Abortion then.
