From C-SPAN, Rep. Tom McClintock (R-California): 'That's Why This President Is So Dangerous'
McClintock is the man!! (See my profile.)
Do you have a date for this speech?
Here is a Presidential Candidate worth supporting.
BUMP!
BUMP!
Unfortunately, we all have to realize that zero and his ilk consider the constitution to be utterly inapplicable to their actions and conduct. It is at most an irritant to them, and certainly not a guide or set of limitations. We may as well make arguments based on the bhagavad gita.
Can you summarize for someone currently blocked from youtube?
Outstanding. Truly impressive. Statesmen are not yet extinct within the GOP. Thank you for posting this.
Why does our military obey illegal orders? Are they just stupid or criminals (or, both). When my son entered West Point I was told, in no uncertain terms, that he was not to obey an illegal order. So, not to worry about him doing anything like that. WTF?
Another good clip from the same page.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T76P16ToIAo&feature=related
Proud to be in his district here in Placerville. But when is he going to talk about GUNWALKER?
Unfortunately the Kucinish-Amash amendment lost 199-229. Most Republicans voted for it. See the roll call vote here and find out how your Rep voted.
Bachmann, Paul voted AYE.
Another one, from Tom Cole, did pass 225-201. It forbids use of funds for training or equipment. Roll call here
McCain is displeased with even that vote saying it sends the wrong message.
Given the hyper partisan, crazy left legislature, McClintock would’ve been no more effective than Arnold.

Good video!
A day late ping...
McClintock ping list
Please freepmail me if you want on or off this list.
Once in the past we traded thoughts on this very issue but those thoughts were about other things. All things considered, I was wrong.
Thank you for the link. I didn’t watch all of it, but he was on a good roll when I tuned out.
He did not get Congressional approval. Despite that hurdle not being met, it’s truly equally repulsive to me that we are fighting Al Qaeda in other theaters, and interceding for them in Libya. WTH?
This guy couldn’t find sound policy if it was strapped to his posterior, even though that’s exactly where he got this one. Well, not exactly if I’m being honest.
Do we want Al Qaeda or the Muslim brotherhood in control of Iraq? How is that better than
BTW: What brain-trust urged him to take action, then demanded to know what his goals were and what his timetable was?
Khadaffy?
Missing in next to last line.
Lamh Foistenach Abu! Thanks for the ping or I would have missed it as I am not getting his eMails for some reason...
Thanks for the ping!

Disagree. Chris Christie is faced with a state legislature like that in NJ and he’s making them tear their hair out. He’s not afraid to call their bluff and veto their pet projects, and unlike Arnold when he calls out the union thugs it’s an unscripted mano-e-mano confrontation, not a scripted audience line in a campaign speech.
It’s amazing what a principled conservative leader with spine can do is a Democrat dominanted state.

BTTT
Exactly my point. Again, look at NJ. Their general assembly is every bit as solidly Democrat and idealogically leftist as California. Governor Christie doesn't put up with their leftist cr@p. He's been privatizing hundresds of feel-good liberal agencies, boards, and state jobs. Every time they send him some bloated bill to increase spending, borrow, create new handouts, spent zillions on the envirowacko agenda, fund planned parenthood, promote "gay pride", etc., he vetoes it without blinking, and keeps vetoing it over and over and over again until they finally cave and pass his budgets to decrease spending and support tax cuts.
>> Arnold championed those programs. Some of Arnie's fans refuse to acknowledge those facts and take every opportunity they can to marginalize the conservative. <<
And that is why the freepers who claimed Christie is an Arnold clone are wrong. Saying "tear up the credit cards" in a campaign speech and actually DOING it while in office are two different things. Governors like Christie in NJ and Calceri in Rhode Island have proved the "California is ungovernable and no Republican could have changed things there" myth is wrong. Both those states had Democrat legislatures just as bad as California but their conservative governors we able to do an enormous amount of good.
Another myth that really needs to be put to rest is the "Arnie was a good conservative til the unions stopped his wonderful referendums in the special election". Sure, as if appointing Susan Kennedy was something a good conservative reformer would do. And note that none of the leftist states that DID have decent conservative reformers in power chose to have "special elections" to pass their reforms. Christie didn't quickly write up a list of half-baked ideas and spend millions trying to drag voters out to support it. He used the bully pulpit and took his case directly to the people that the unions were destroying NJ and that's why he's going to dismantle their programs and veto their bills.
