adding to the media-driven campaign of hatred against leading Republican women

Question: If there were also fake quotes from Mitt Romney, Herman Caine, and Newt Gingrich, then why say that it's only a "media-driven campaign of hatred" against the women?

“I have rounded up (or possibly invented) the reactions of all the 2012 Republican contenders to the news of Casey Anthony’s “not guilty” verdict.”

This one is actually funny:

“I can promise you Casey Anthony and anyone else who I think might’ve killed their children will have no business in a Herman Cain administration. President Cain would look her right in the eyes and ask her point blank if she killed that little girl, we’d get right to the bottom of it.”
— Cain, addressing a Tea Party group in Iowa.

Palin is still a private person.

I hope she goes after them.

They left out this one: “I, president Dick Obama, am the biological father of, uh, what’s her name, (I forgot my teleprompter) that little girl and I was the one who killed her because I thought her mother was unfit.”

We need a newsletter that tells nothing but lies about dems. What fun that would be!

It’s only fair, since they already have dozens of MSM outlets lying about conservatives.

Libel?

Not Libel, but satire and the article clearly indicates that the quotes are satire.

They exist simply for google hits. Some left winger will make reference to these fake quotes. It’s how the system works.

No, I doubt that it’s winnable as libel. Sarah is/was a politician, and a public figure, and they are fair game.

Sure, she hasn’t declared yet, but I doubt whether a court would think that mattered. She is still clearly involved in presidential politics at the present time, as a possible candidate and as someone who is involved in political disputes leading up to various elections.

“Some left winger will make reference to these fake quotes. It’s how the system works.”

Are you of the view that political/social satire should not exist because an ill-informed person down the road may not be capable of comprehending satire?

“Salon Magazine smeared Sarah Palin and several Republican presidential candidates with faked quotes”

With such a dishonest, compromised, biased BigMedia, there really isn’t much hope for America these days, is there?

We don’t need to tell lies about dems, the truth is funny enough.

Everybody knows.
Except 97% of Obama libtards who continue to believe that Sarah actually said that she could see Russia from her kitchen window...

She is a private person but she’s also a ‘public figure.’ See NYT v Sullivan. She’d have to prove malice. May not be too difficult.

The Anthony verdict has no place in our politics but that hasn’t stopped Bill Maher from inserting it.
