Skip to comments. It's now easier to get medical marijuana than a Starbucks coffee in Denver

There are now more medical marijuana dispensaries in the Mile High city than there are branches of Starbucks.
In Denver, Colorado, there are nearly 300 locations where patients with a prescription from a doctor can legally buy medical marijuana, reports The Daily.
New patients are often treated to a free joint, and have their choice of an ever growing array of strains of marijuana, many with colourful names like Golden Goat and Romulan Cotton Candy.
Besides Colorado, 15 other states plus Washington, D.C., have laws that allow use of medical marijuana.
This does not trump federal law, but the Obama administration has said it is not interested in prosecuting state-licensed dispensaries or those who use the drug as prescribed by a doctor.
During the Bush administration, federal agents did often clash with the medical marijuana industry in states where it had been locally legalized, and many shops were raided.
Westword editor Patricia Calhoun told The Daily: 'Its a fun new writing area, and if your publication prides itself on doing strong cultural coverage of art, theatre and food, then why not do pot, too?'
Mr Breathes is said to be an experienced journalist, and he writes on all aspects of the Denver medical marijuana scene, including detailed reviews of specific strains for sale, the shops and relevant political and social issues.

Dopey potheads. 99% of them are Obama voters. A stoned population=more Democrat votes

Now if I could just get a joint and a coffee at the same place.
American life is now simply a matter of seeing how far the loopy, irresponsible part of the population can infringe on the sensibilities (and tax money) of the responsible part.
“Dopey potheads. 99% of them are Obama voters. A stoned population=more Democrat votes”
They would fit right in with the founding fathers then.
lol Pathetic. Tommy Chong shows what decades of smoking that crap will do to your mind http://cnn.com/video/?/video/bestoftv/2011/06/23/exp.arena.marijuana.debate.chong.cnn
Feds won't give assurance on medical pot
The U.S. Justice Department says that marijuana dispensaries and licensed growers in states with medical marijuana laws could face prosecution for violating federal drug and money-laundering laws... Deputy Attorney General James Cole said a 2009 memo by then-Deputy Attorney General David Ogden did not give states cover from prosecution.
0bama was against busting pot shops before he was for busting pot shops.
I know a place here in Los Feliz (L.A.) that serves those, plus complimentary weed brownies.
And if your mind is still muddy from the supply of free and nearly-free drugs, not to worry. There’s a job for you on President Obama’s economic team or as a federally-protected unionized TSA groper.
Medical Marijuana sure cleared the illegal aliens out of this town.
When austerity hits for real, the fraud known as the War on Drugs, along with other bastard progeny of the welfare/nanny state, will be flushed down the terlet.
In CA, with or without a pot prescription, simple posession of less than an ounce is now no problemo. Legal or not, pot smokers still can’t work for any employer with a substance abuse program, especially a federally mandated one. Most major industrial employers have such programs.
You don’t know what the hell you are talking about.
Same goes in San Jose.
