Goal is to prevent deaths: Flights home begin for illegal immigrants found in Arizona desert

The eighth annual Mexican Interior Repatriation Program will feature one flight a day instead of two and is expected to cost the U.S. government about $10 million.

Under the voluntary program, non-criminal Mexican illegal immigrants caught by the Border Patrol in Arizona are offered free flights to Mexico City. From there, they are given bus passes to return to their hometowns.

The goal of the annual summer initiative is to prevent illegal immigrants from trying to cross the border again in the hopes of saving lives during the scorching summer months when hundreds die each year in Arizona.

Maybe they should just build a High-Speed rail link instead..

They can connect it to the track in the middle of the San Joaquin they’re trying to swangle into being.. Call it HeadedBackSouth Rail

“non-criminal Mexican illegal immigrants”

You have to laugh. Double plus ungood if you don’t. That they entered illegally already makes them criminals. Mexico should be footing the bill for their return - if they’d flown in without being cleared to legally enter, the airline would be responsible for letting them on in the first place and for bearing the cost of returning them.

Does the plane have to land or just fly over Mexico? Just wondering.

Under the voluntary program, non-criminal Mexican illegal immigrants...

A couple of things here:
1 - “voluntary program”????
So, they can decide whether or not they want to go?

2 - “non-criminal”???
Don’t even have a postable word I can say!

I see a good opportunity for some Air Force training for C-130 “touch and goes”

Push the pallet out the door and you and your free MRE and bottle of water on a deserted improvised air strip in SOUTHERNMOST Mexico .

“good luck”

Well, I’d endorse it AS LONG AS Mexico gets the bill for repatriation.

Oh sure, while at the same time the government ships weapons to Mexican drug dealers...

How about we send them to Nuevo Laredo in 18 wheelers like they came here in.

The “flights” should consist of a catapult by the border.

Separated by only one word and still they don't get it.

DO we at least tag them before we release them? That way we can track their movement back across the border after they finish their free vacation trip.

I like #13's idea, push em out of a C-130 tied to a pallet.
AND send the Bill to Mexico.

But I'd give them a cheap compass too.
One that Only Points South!

I'm for Tagging them with an RFID Chip.

In the 'olden days' a tattoo may have been better but now these people tattoo their face and whole body. And the gubmint one would 'disappear'.

So I say go with the RFID Chip. It's fast, cheap, and they can be tracked *almost anywhere* (Hello NSA).

Course, I hate to be accused of being "tolerant and compassionate" / snix.........but I say implant a GPS in their backpacks.

They're never without these b/c they carry the asst documents for the multiple identities they use to ride the US gravy train.

If they don’t have em yet, they can buy them in any liquor store parking lot. 2 for 300.00
