From the pictures that NormsRevenge posted, I can even pick out the 2nd floor of the building that we were in during Third Phase. It overlooked the quonset hut area near the "Grinder".

The 1960's picture is identical to the way the place looked in '74.

My twin brother went through boot camp at MCRD and at the same time I was across the fence going to US Navy boot camp in San Diego.

During our respective 4 year enlistments, we saw each other twice.

He was on his way to ‘Nam when I got married and was unable to be my best man. bummer.
