All you need to know is this:

Jim Cramer is telling people to “not write this market off!”

I think a crash is pretty well assured. ;-)

"It ain’t that big a fall. Less than 2%."

Not to worry, Cap'n. We've still got 98% up!

OK. So why did the Dow rise the previous two weeks. And I’ve been investing for a long time. So no BSanswers. OK?

How long is everybody going to stand around looking at each other as if all is well?
All is not well. The world's economy has been on the brink of calamity for over two years. Tic toc...

Canned corned beef. It will last for 20 years on the shelf. And it is a lot cheaper than the high tech foods. Canned white potatoes, canned vegetables. You can stock a heck of a lot of canned food for relatively little money.

“Wonder what Field Peas will be selling for tomorrow?

I’m heavily invested in Field Peas.”

Hard to predict. Obama just came out against peas, but then turned around and said people have to eat them anyway. He was against eating peas before he was for eating them. Typical Obama flip-flop.

So, the price could go either way depending on whether people actually eat them or not.

You probably should have invested in shrimp, anyway. We know Obama likes shrimp.

“I hope we don’t take a bath.”

I don’t know. A lot depends on how dirty ya’ll are. Besides, I’ve usually found showers to be more refreshing. Not to mention more efficient.

Would you mind terribly if I wander out into your field and take a Pea?

I'm not a finance guy...but I will take a stab at it (and not a BS answer...since I get absolutely sick at the constant lack of intellectual discussion of FR lately).

I think the market guys knew QE2 was ending...knew Europe was going to tank...and decided to take as many profits as they could. So...IMHO...they tried to get the market as high as possible before the sell-off to make their money.

There is no support for it...no real support. When those job numbers came out...it should have fallen 300 points...but it didn't. It's not real.

BS answers?

If you’ve been investing for a long time, you’re a slow learner.

Market rising is an indication of inflation. That is all the past two years have been in the stock market; Bernanke prints bucks and goes shopping at the stock market. He can bid whatever he wants; it doesn’t cost him any more than the jug of ink. but when you want to play too, you can’t print money unless you want to live at the Levenworth Hotel.

Didn’t a lot of that printed money go to buy stocks? That’s what I’ve heard from several people.

They want to pump up the market to give the illusion that a recovery is underway.
