Outrage over hypocrisy is a juvenile emotion.

It supposes that no ideal should be sought unless it has already been attained.

People actually are inherently consistent, even if that consistency consists only of indulging their whims.

However, with the left, their consistency isn’t about whims, it’s about furthering collectivist/communist control of the world.

Mickey’s “hypocrisy” just demonstrates that she is “special”, of the ruling class, and that everyone else needs to be told what to eat.

It may be juvenile, but IMO outrage over the hypocrisy of these would-be totalitarians is a healthy thing.

Anything that drives up their negatives is God-sent.

Your comparison is deceitful.

If it was a case of not measuring up to one’s own aspirations you would have a point. The hypocrisy here is that she dictates to others while utterly disregarding those decrees herself. Disgust and contempt for her hypocrisy is completely justified, just as they are for your sophistry.

Outrage over hypocrisy is a juvenile emotion.

Personally I'm not "outraged"....I laugh at hypocrite's!!

Although I don't laugh at the hypocrisy of the MSM in this country...Personally I think they are very dangerous.

Perfection is automatically demanded when control freaks in positions of power dictate rules that shrink liberty and levy taxes so that the pigs, who make up the electorate, can feed on the public trough.

A lesser reaction is an invitation to abuse and totalitarianism no matter what faction the hypocrite belongs to.

I guess Jesus Christ is just a little boy in your eyes since He, on many occasions, pointed out the hypocrisy of the powers that be.

“I guess Jesus Christ...” and let me add the Old Testament prophets and the Apostles to that list.

On the secular list, the figures of the Enlightenment and the Founders of this Country. Juveniles all over the place, oh my.

“Outrage over hypocrisy is a juvenile emotion.

Would you prefer that no one cared, and just gave hypocrisy a pass?

>Outrage over hypocrisy is a juvenile emotion.<

While I can see your point in part, can you explain why liberal outrage at every gaffe of target conservatives is a tenet of Alinsky’s rule stating (to paraphrase) “make your enemy live up to his ideals”? Has that rule not been effective in the past, juvenile or not?
