Planned Parenthood Cuts Contraception, Not Abortion After De-Funding
Life News ^ | 7/12/11 | Steven Ertelt

Planned Parenthood abortion businesses in various states are making decisions on what to cut now that they have faced cuts in taxpayer funding or elimination of the funds entirely. The cuts came because Planned Parenthood is the biggest abortion business in the nation but, instead of stopping abortions to regain the funds, officials have cut out birth control.

In New Hampshire, following news that the Executive Council revoked a $1.8 million contract, Planned Parenthood decided to halt birth control and pelvic exams. “Patients who used to be able to come to us for their pills now have to walk away,” said Jennifer Frizzell, a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.

According to Reuters, “Planned Parenthood has stopped providing birth control pills and other contraception in New Hampshire after the state’s executive council rejected up to $1.8 million in funding for the group, which also provides privately-funded abortions. The move is expected to affect an average of 120 low-income women each day. Other services provided by Planned Parenthood, including pelvic exams, were also in peril.”

“Patients who used to be able to come to us for their pills now have to walk away,” said Jennifer Frizzell, a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.

Another Planned Parenthood staffer said, “If you’re against abortion, you ought to be leading the way on birth control,” yet the abortion business is cutting family planning services rather than stopping abortions.

In Wisconsin, a $1 million cut in taxpayer funding may jeopardize non-abortion services, but not abortions.

As one newspaper notes: “The Oshkosh center continues to provide health care screenings and birth control services as usual, but that could change depending on what happens with other state and federal programs that provide funds for health care services for low-income users.”

“It’s a shame some political personal beliefs are taking away resources that make sure women in Wisconsin have access to basic family planning health care,” an official with the abortion business said.

Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina is also responding to cuts and indicates it may close a center in Durham that does “family planning, cancer screenings and treatments for sexually transmitted diseases.” The center refers for abortions but does not do abortions — but Planned Parenthood is considering closing that one instead of a nearby center in Chapel Hill that does abortions.

“Having our Chapel Hill clinic nearby might make it a little easier, if we have to close,” a Planned Parenthood abortion business said. “But for many of our clients, that’s not just around the corner. Every barrier you put in their way of someone who needs birth control or STD testing or cancer screening is another barrier. It means fewer Pap smears, less contraception, fewer STD treatments.”

David Daleiden of Live Action, the pro-life group that exposes abuses at Planned Parenthood centers ranging from not reporting cases of statutory rape to authorities to arranging abortions for the pimps who victimize girls in sex trafficking, says the decisions on what to cut show Planned Parenthood is not as concerned about promoting birth control and contraception as it is selling abortions.

“I hope everyone notices the irony in the news … because [Planned Parenthood] is halting their provision of birth control and potentially pelvic exams,” he said. “Why does Planned Parenthood cut contraception and cancer screenings first? Answer: because it’s been all about abortion all along.”

Makes sense from their point of view. Less birth control equals more abortion business.

Contraception doesn’t make any money, except in the lie of its reliability, and the resulting abortions.

Some pro-abort MBA, likely presented a model suggesting higher abortion revenue, with reduced availability of contraception.

Population control - they need to keep the ovens in operation, since that’s 9/10ths of the law. They don’t want to risk stopping and not being allowed to start again.

They (the statist lefties) like the inner city destitute populations as a voting block of sheeple, but they don’t want their population to grow beyond what they need for a voting block. They expend great efforts to make sure their sheeple keep getting sex, drugs and government dole to keep them happy.

To them, contraception is just public relations. The important thing to them is that the human sacrifices continue. Who knows what sort of strange and unusual horrors Moloch might rain down on those running PP in any area where they're forced to stop abortions.

This is abortion politics exposed. In a few years they’ll claim how defunding abortion increased unwanted babies.

Yep, it's a form of blackmail, if we don't give them more money they will kill more babies.

How ironic! In the ‘Live Free or Die’ state Planned Parenthood is choosing to murder babies in the womb over preventative (possible life-saving) exams.

The issue of exams and other medical services provided by PP is irrelevant. If the Ku Klux Klan ran a soup kitchen for the homeless, would we give it a pass on its lynchings because, after all, it was doing some good?

Well, this really puts the lie to the claim that abortions aren’t funded out of tax dollars.

An organization that provided women’s health services and contraceptives while staying away from any aspect of the abortion industry could be quite successful. But it probably wouldn’t bring in the cash that abortion does.

PP’s contraception business is just their entry-level abortion product. They have to get girls and young women fornicating in order for them to become potential abortion customers, and to do that, they have to lie to them and tell them it’s perfectly safe as long as they contracept.

Today a Judge in New York State blocked New York City council bill 371-a which would have violated the free speech rights of crisis pregnancy centers and would have forced them to post signs stating that “they do not perform abortions” or “do referrals for abortions”. The stupid and pro abortion New York City Council thought they could take away the free speech rights of cpcs. Too bad for the abortion loving creeps on the NYC Council, especially Christine Quinn and Jessica Lappin. Of course, they will not stop in their efforts to promote abortion on demand but at least they have been temporarily blocked.
