I just can’t figure out why a conservative would push Perry so hard. He’s a really bad choice at a time we need a really good choice.

Why, oh why? What’s the fascination?

Just curious. Can you put names to that ‘really good choice’. Thanks.

The big business money is going to like a guy like Perry. He’s demonstrated he’s a shoe-in for international ideas and efforts. He was fortunate enough to have taken over from Bush during a stable period. He kept that ball rolling. As far as that goes, there are some pluses.

How solid is he on illegal immigration? How solid is he on sovereignty issues? How solid is he on globalists ideas? I’ve got some concerns.

There are people who are concerned with the United States becoming too cozy with globalist initiatives. There are people who want the border brought under control. These people want to see repatriation. They want the freebies shut off. They want jobs for illegals to end now. They want to see illegals return to their nation of origin.

There is another group out there that is big business focused. Big business is good, as long as it’s interests don’t trump national interests. From my experience, it seems to me that when big business rules the day, national interests take a back seat. When it rules liberal policies pretty much remain in place. These Leftist problems remain dormant, then are filled with new life, when a Leftist takes over again. If it’s a business related problem that is Leftist in nature, that will probably be addressed. Nothing else will be. Even some Leftist business problems will be left in place.

Illegal immigration won’t be addressed. Big business seems to love it. Sending jobs out of our nation will not be addressed. Getting education fixed won’t be. Keeping our military strong won’t be. Globalist initiatives will be supported, because big business loves to work in a globalist trans-national environment. They’ll cozy up to anyone with a buck.

It concerns me that Perry could be the next guy to get gazillions of dollars without even trying, and this thing could be over before anyone else could burp.

In 1999, Bush had about a $70 million dollar war chest by October. Nobody else had anywhere near that kind of funding. Then we ate leftover luke-warm soup for eight years.

I’d rather keep this between people who aren’t as big a draw to big business. I want to lower corporate tax rates, but I don’t want the next government to be so favorable to big business they’ll gladly send the last job out of the nation, to please them. I also want to see right to work in all states.

I’m not anti-business per se, but I do think things did swing way too far in the favor of business friendly policies as we sent tens of millions of jobs off shore, and pulled in H1B visa subjects to further put our people out of work. Then we watched as telecommunications jobs went to India. Not good.

That’s how I see it. Hope it made some sense to you.
