The secret for women is to lower the tone of their voices at least one octave and the volume at least four notches. (Are you listening Michele and Sarah?) Then get to the point with as few words as possible. Any extra words will be ignored, no matter how clever you may think they are.
This strategy works on boys and grown up boys.

For some unknown reason I am reminded that I once read that someone somewhere once remarked that the sound of a crying baby is the most annoying sound in the world. Or was that the sound of a female voice?
I am so confused.
What was the author’s point again?

Lets see, she was was going on and on to a male friend about something I cant even remember anymore, and she expects him to pay attention to her babbling? How about just shut up?I have NO clue your gender, BUT, it does help to read what is actually being said.
So, next time you want to get angry and yell at a guy for "not listening," cut him a little slack his brain just wasn't made to hear you. My suggestion would be to speak slowly and get to your point fast.

Maybe this is why female preachers aren’t a good idea..........

... I was going on and on to a male friend about something I can't even remember anymore.
If there is any truth to the original post, its reasons can be found in the statement above.

Actually males hear females quite well when they say the right words. Nicely put, but in fact, true.
I immediately hear the voices of my family's female members, but only certain combinations of words will get me to "lock on" and continue to listen.
When they talk just to keep themselves busy, or some such other nonsense, I just tune out, and go back to my work.

Had a comprehensive hearing battery several years ago. Went through test I didn't know existed. When the Doc came out to the waiting room he walked straight to my wife and told her that I was not ignoring her but I could not hear in the decibel range that she and most females spoke in. He handed her the sheaf of results and walked out. Its been much easier to live with ever since!

Well, if this is true, why would we select a woman for our nominee? Why is it that Bachmann is already rising above most of the men?

Or female voices on a Tom Tom.

Women could certainly improve their half of the communication by increasing their signal:noise ratio.Yes, and unfortunately they to resent it when several paragraphs into the setup you ask them what their point is.

No there was actual research back in the pre-Star Trek days (imagine) that had male pilots listening to female voices more. Of course that was way back then when relations between men and women were much different. Now I think the simulated voicess are all metrosexual. ;-)

It’s obvious that she puts value on the meer fact that she was speaking. It didn’t matter to her that the content wasn’t even memorable to her.
She was speaking, so it was important for her friend to listen.
She needs to get over herself.
