Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton sent a letter Thursday to House Speaker Kurt Zellers and Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch, saying he "reluctantly" agrees to accept the Republican budget proposal from June 30.

Does this mean I can still buy a miller beer now?
Textbook lesson in resolve!
ARE YOU OBSERVING THIS MITCH MCCONNELL?
There the scare was Booze
Yes, but why would you want to?
Get some Gluecks , Summit or Surly.
Take note Republicans in DC! You can win! Dayton challenged Republicans to a game of who will blink first, and lost. He caved completely and the Republicans got everything they wanted. A great day for Minnesota!
the trick for Barry would be shutting down all golf courses..
Senator McConnell, please pick up the white courtesy phone...
Dayton hasn’t agreed to anything yet. Read the meat under the Title and he is counter-proposing on a few things.
He’s playing the Barry game and going for the the R’s are not flexible enough to agree to my simple counters.
Read his letter. The republicans will reject it.
He wants them to drop the 15% cut in state employees and a 500 million dollar bonding bill to put Minnesota ‘back to work’
I hope the legislature prorates the amount by decreasing the bottom line by 3.8% since the government has been shut down for the last 14 days. No sense in charging the people over the last two weeks for a government that didn’t bother to show up for work.
If he calls them back into special session, he can’t cancel it .
I think it’s a trick to lure Zellers into a room and give him the googly eyes hypno-stare.
National GOP... THIS is how it’s done!
Pass the proper budget legislation and move the ball into the enemy’s court.
Dayton caved because he got orders from the top (i.e. Obama).
Every day the Minnesota Government was shut down and the world did not end was another day emboldening Republicans that they could do the same in Washington.
He accepted, WITH CONDITIONS. So, he really didn’t accept.
I still don’t think people are reading the article so I’ll repeat:
He did not cave. He says he will accept the Republican offer if and only if he can remove a big cost cutting measure and spend an additional half billion dollars.
The battle is still on.
Rush is confused as well.
Ah, yes, I WAS premature in posting the “cave.”
Dayton wants to get rid of a “Cost cutting” measure in a budget that sets a record for INCREASED SPENDING (just, not as MUCH increase as Marky Mark wanted)?
Insane. (Perhaps literally, knowing Dayton’s history.)
All the R’s have to do at this point is hold fast, then throw him some small bone so he doesn’t look like a complete ass. The bone need not be large, just something tangible like a $500,000 program he really wants to keep.
And get your melon checked. I suggest you don't do both at the same time.
Miller Beer needs to make a commercial where their jovial black truck driver goes around pulling cases of Miller out of Minnesota stores.
“The people who elected this governor are too stupid to enjoy the High Life”.
