Obama: I Don’t Care if Debt Battle 'Brings Down My Presidency'
news ^ | 7/14/11 | m gould

The chances of a negotiated agreement on raising the debt ceiling took a sharp nosedive when President Barack Obama stormed out of a meeting with GOP leaders after a heated exchange with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

“Eric, don’t call my bluff,” the president reportedly said as he left the table late on Wednesday after Cantor repeatedly called for a short-term debt ceiling hike. “I’ve reached my limit. This may bring my presidency down, but I won't yield on this."

Obama is also said to have told Republicans that no other president – “not Ronald Reagan” – would have sat through such long negotiations with them.

“He shoved back and said ‘I’ll see you tomorrow,’ and walked out,” Cantor said after the meeting.

As he left, Obama complained that Republicans are “focused on positioning and political posturing,” rather than trying to find an answer to the debt crisis.

The two sides are due to meet again on Thursday afternoon, just 19 days before the Treasury’s Aug. 2 deadline for increasing the $14.3 trillion limit.

It will be the fifth day in a row that the president has led talks that have included the leaders of both parties in the House and Senate.

“I’ve reached my limit. This may bring my presidency down, but I won’t yield on this.”

At last, our prayers have been answered. However, I’m afraid to get my hopes up, since he’s so adept at lying to us.

Remember all: the stain muttered this WITHOUT his teleprompter; therefore, the stain cannot be held responsible for - in fact most likely will not remember - having said anything like this.

Even as we "speak" the "first pig" is beating the stain about the head and shoulders screaming...."WHAT DO YOU MEAN (Hit, Wop, Slap) YOU DON'T CARE IF IT BRINGS DOWN YOUR PRESIDENCY!!! (Slap, slap, Hit) WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO SAY SUCH STUPID THINGS! (Kick, slap, slap, push) I'M THE BOSS AROUND HERE AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!!!" (Slap, kick, punch).

The stain....now properly chastised.... will read a spin statement off his teleprompter to us all real soon.

Jimmy Carter is 86 years old. I guess somebody is going to have to take over the role of ex-US President willing to come to your country and rip the U.S. a new one (for a fee).

rather than trying to find an answer to the debt crisis

We've already FOUND the answer to the debt crisis.

STOP THE GODDAMNED SPENDING!!!

Cut the budget from $3.8 trillion to $2.2 trillion, effective August 1, 2011.

Problem solved. No thanks necessary.

What should bring his Presidency to a screeching halt is his role in selling arms to the Mexican Drug Cartel—and his role in arming MS13 at the direction of his man Eric Holder. To allow the godfather to escape when Holder appears to have served his boss with such loyalty and devotion ought be like letting John Gotti go just because you got his bag man.

Let's pray he's not bluffing this time and really means it.

Olson Johnson: Hold it, men. He's not bluffing.
Dr. Sam Johnson: Listen to him, men. He's just crazy enough to do it!

STOP THE GODDAMNED SPENDING!!!

That’s the easy part. The hard part is ending bank bailouts, wars with nation building and getting Americans on the payroll again paying taxes.

Among the almost infinite gifts and the mature attributes of our beloved leader, it is inspiring to confirm his capacity for pouting and hissy fits.

He’s bluffing

And what is Rule #17 in high stakes poker?
Never muck to a possible bluff. Always call the bluff. Go all in and make him show his cards.

I’ve reached my limit

The American public has reached its limit with you, Mr. President.

You had two years with a super-majority Democratic Party House and Senate, and you did NOT pass any budget. Why? I think you purposely did not pass a budget so no one could pin you down on over-spending and you could eventually turn around and continue to blame the woes of the economy on the Republicans/Conservatives.

You are derelict of duty. If you were a real leader, you would have told both the House and Senate what your budget was (in specifics). Then let them tear it apart and build it up. Then for the sake of the people, not your ideology, you would then pass whatever Congress handed you.

But that would take leadership, of which you have NONE. You are a community organizer and Union Pimp. You think leading this country is a matter of playing arbitrator between a far left progressive agenda and the Bills being created by Congress. The problem with that is that your far left agenda is and always will be more important than what "We The People" actually need.

You're NO leader Mr. President. You, sir, are a mannequin...an empty suit looking good only to the deaf, dumb and blind.

Did you happen to notice how the credit rating agencies spoke their parts right on cue, threatening to lower the US credit rating? Could it be because those companies are under the threat of Federal investigation regarding how the the bundles of nearly worthless mortgages sailed right by them without even a warning from the credit rating agencies? Is this cooperation with Timmy Geithner, et al., a down payment on an official “go-easy” policy on the investigation?

As many have noted in previous posts, blogs and columns, Obama has never faced adversity, never had to really negotiate for anything. He enjoyed a mysteriously subsidized Ivy League education and was embraced by the corrupt Illinois Democrat machine, where he thrived under the tutelage of America-hating leftists such as Jeremiah Wright. At age 30, newly-minted attorney Barack Obama secured a lecturer position at the University of Chicago Law School and after warming a seat in the Illinois senate for eight years, won a U.S. senate seat in 2004. We all know the rest.

Obama has had many doors opened for him and been happy to walk through them. He clearly has a tremendous ego and doesn't know how to compromise. He is used to BSing or threatening adversaries, who have always deferred to his words, his threats, his race or the office he held, depending on the situation. Suddenly, that has stopped working for Barry. Today, Obama is adrift and his panic manifests itself in anger and bad judgement. He ridicules members of congress, momentarily forgetting that they are a co-equal branch of government and that he is not a Caesar. When that doesn't work, he huffs and puffs and storms out of a crucial meeting, after warning Eric Cantor 'not to call my bluff'.

What a child. An overpraised and over-hyped left-wing Chicago politician with a lot of stupid ideas based on a failed Marxist ideology that has never worked. If this guy can't be defeated by a doorknob in 2012, then America has gone certifiably insane and frankly, will receive the government they voted for....but I trust that won't happen and Obama will be soundly defeated in the next election.

I’ve had the 2nd worst day of my life today. My 18 year old daughter decided to move out. She’s supposed to graduate H.S. a semester early but thinks she is above rules. I’ve cried allot today. It breaks my heart to see her throw her future away. You may never know how nice it was to make me laugh on this day. Thank you.
