I think you are correct...reading the tea leaves last night and watching bonehead I said, they have a deal which is going to make the POS look good and split the GOP party apart guaranteeing the POS the whitehouse and a dem win in the house.
Bonehead has paid nothing but lip service to the tea party since 2010. He did not give one leadership position to them regardless of their numbers. When push comes to shove, he will take his remaining RINOs and vote against them.
McConnel is no worse but he is not in control of his chamber. Today statement no GOP senator will vote for this is meaningless as they don’t have a majority and I doubt they will sustain any fillabuster either.

"Deficit" is a codeword for how FAST you spend more than you take in.
Say you make 50 grand a year, and spend 250 grand a year. Your "deficit" is 200 grand per year. Who knows what your debt is, you might have no debt, or you might be millions of dollars in the hole.
Now, on that same 50 grand a year, you reduce your spending to 200 grand a year. In federal government parlance, you, sir, have just reduced the deficit! Great job!

My FRiend, you forget we are in post-Clintonian America where statesments must be carefully parsed. What he actually said was "I can't promise" the SS checks will go out ... so when cornered he will say "I never threatened to hold up the checks". And he didn't - he used typical Clintonian rhetoric to IMPLY that without actually saying it.
I can't promise the sun will rise tomorrow morning ... but I do have a VERY strong suspicion that it will. Smile.
