I’ve been hearing whispers that Michele Bachmann’s husband, Marcus, is gay for a while. It’s now exploding into a full-on meme.
Given my early bedtime, I’m always at least a day late on “Daily Show” bits. Last night, I saw this episode from Wednesday:

Now, I admit, Marcus Bachmann is pudgy and has a less-than-baritone voice. But, last I checked, those aren’t the distinguishing characteristics of homosexuality.
Apparently, gay activist Dan Savage has started pushing the meme hard, too. And Slate’s June Thomas is calling him out:
Dan Savage begins each of his “Savage Love Cast” podcasts with a rip-roaring rant—a sword of invective aimed at homophobic school boards that won’t let lesbians attend their high-school prom, hypocritical politicians, and generally despicable people. It’s a rousing start to 45 minutes of sex advice, and it’s usually right on and empowering.
This week, though, the podcast started with an attack on Marcus Bachmann’s masculinity.After a short preamble about the accuracy of gaydar (with a scientific citation, no less), Savage—whom I respect tremendously—played a tape of Michele’s* husband’s speaking voice. Bachmann has a tiny bit of a lisp—though it’s barely perceptible—and he slurs his words slightly. To Savage’s ears, it was a gay accent. Savage played the tape over and over, and reprised it several times throughout the podcast. He even did his own Bachmann impression, exaggerating the lisp and camping it up.

Sure looks and acts like one.
As evidence, Stewart played a clip of Marcus Bachmann swing-dancing with Michele and also a clip of his slightly lispy voice.
But Seinfeld was there to help Stewart avoid the juvenile line of humor and hoped to counsel him toward more high-minded jokes, such as mocking Bachmann’s name.
“Bach-Man,” Seinfeld said. “What is that? Some classical music superhero? Bach-Man?”
Seinfeld even tried to slap the ridicule out of Stewart after “The Daily Show” host said, “He’s so gay he calls ‘Top Gun’ that volleyball movie,” about Bachmann.
“Comedy is a choice,” Seinfeld said. “You weren’t born this way. You can resist it. You must resist it.”
But each eventually couldn’t resist and threw out one-liners insinuating that Bachmann is gay.
“Dr. Marcus Bachmann buys Brawny paper towels for the packaging,” Seinfeld joked. “He’s so gay Richard Simmons tells him to ‘tone it down.’”
What do you think? Are comedians just taking cheap shots at Bachmann? Or are Marcus Bachmann’s actions so outlandish and offensive he deserves all the ridicule he’s getting?

This is Jon Stewart and Jerry Seinfeld making these jokes.
Sounds almost like Donald Duck to me.
Truth be told I believe the Obama stories out of Chicago
I do too. They were never really refuted, just unreported.
I don’t watch Stewart anymore after it because absolutely clear that “bashing the President” wasn’t his thing, but “bashing Republicans” was.
However, Jon Stewart is not an obscure political pundit. He’s a comedian, and it appears that Marcus = great comedy.
....ah.....seriously......do we have any rights anymore? Leave them alone. Spreading rumors and tales out of school is just plain tacky. This is all part of the libleft's campaign against those who do not support the gay agenda. He has been a Christian counselor working against the gay agenda. So what? Don't we still have rights in this country to free speech and religion?
Take away the canned laugh-track, turn your brain on, and I think you'll realize that most "comedy" material is mere stupidity (or worse).

my son gets his news from jon stewart........I watched while I was visiting.....I was appalled.
Over the past few days, the rap against Dr Bachmann was his clinic’s working to revert gays to straight. Now he’s gay. One has to wonder how low these people will go to trash GOP candidates and their families. Wait till they start on the Bachmann children.

does it really matter? 70% pretty much agree with Stewart on this one.
A Presidential candidate whose husband cures gay with prayer and he seems gay himself will be seen by a solid majority as funny. And everyone should know this.
