The Fascist Obama Regime and MSM is doing everything they can to destroy anything and everything related to FOX News.

I have no doubts there is a war being waged against Fox News. With that said, I can also say that had my email been hacked by a journalist from any organization I would want heads to roll.

Any idea what Hinton had to do with this controversy?

I think this is much bigger than Obama v. Fox News (though I don’t doubt for a second they will go after Fox). This is global and, potentially, huge as it pertains to News Corp. I’m not rushing to judgment by any means, and as much as I loathe Obama and crew, this does not strike me as something cooked up by the White House.

Will they use it? Sure. But it sure looks like News Corp has some very serious culpability here.

Why would they be against a news organization that was so pro-Obama on election night?

They hacked into the phones of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan and victims of terrorist attacks. Pretty screwed up stuff.

Soros has got to be behind this crap.

As for the cell phone voicemail hacking, I read somewhere that some of the phones that were hacked were due to the passwords not being changed from the manufacturer’s default.

Where was the outrage by the left-wing media with WikiLeaks and Julian Assange?

Weird how they keep leaving out CNN’s Piers Morgan...

Good point. CNN has given this story more than its fair share of air time. Where’s the coverage of Morgan and the allegations that he approved phone hacking when he was editor of that other British rag?

Hinton is the CEO of Dow Jones, which owns WSJ. Apparently, he ran the tabloid that’s at the center of all this when the events that are at issue occurred. Naturally, AP announced that the “publisher” of WSJ had resigned.

Saudi Prince owns a significant share of Newscorp, and might now be able as events progress to pick up an enlarged position cheap..same for potential Soros interest. Newscorp and Fox may be coming up for grabs with Murdoch off balance and under increasing attack.

Sharia compliant Dow Jones Index of 100 companies’ Sharia advisory panel probably is not sorry Hinton is gone.

Hmmm. I knew that, but I didn’t think of that possible result. Good catch. Wow. That could be catastrophic. And while I pretty much avoid all “news entertainment” ... still.

The vdare.com blog is saying that all the British newspapers did the same thing and that this was a set up since Murdoch was about to buy up Sky News which would turn it into the British version of Fox News. The BBC is running scared.

I'm just totally stunned with the view expressed on this thread that this is a war against Fox and "the buck stops here" doesn't apply in Big Business.

First of all, the UK press has FOR YEARS refused to attack each other (gentleman's agreement which has become a tradition/convention, there's no "rule" in place enforcing it). The only reason this ever came to light is because ONE PAPER broke the convention and even then it took a week for the other newspapers to start commenting on the issue.Sky News - also owned by Murdoch - was right there alongside the BBC, in reporting it!So the idea there's some kind of orchestrated attempt by all the other non-Murdoch news outlets, is just farcical wishful thinking on the part of the "The sun shines out of Rupert Murdoch's arse" brigade. One minority paper refusing to let this drop, does not a conspiracy make.

Now you've heard it might involve 9/11 victims, suddenly it's not funny anymore, is it? Les Hinton's done what Rebekah Brooks and James Murdoch should've done as soon as the Milly Dowler hack story went public - he's fallen on his sword. He is personally appalled by the hacking, and he has accepted that THE BUCK STOPS WITH AT THE TOP. So, he's gone. And, he's lost nothing. He's even retained his honour - no, I'd go further than that. He's proved he's got moral fiber, in a way that the two Murdochs haven't (by not accepting Rebekah's resignation and talking her out of doing the right thing). If he and James Murdoch were going for the same job and you wanted integrity, now you know which one to pick.

I said some time ago this was going to really bite Murdoch up the arse if he wasn't careful...

I've never expressed the thought that, "the buck stops here" doesn't apply in Big Business" so I can only assume you directed your post at me because I said I believe there is a war being waged on Fox News. If you've been paying attention you would know there is.

Well, Prince Alwaleed of Saudi Arabia holds great sway within Newscorp now, and is positioned as no other to expand...Islamic interests, already evident in Fox News, itself walking on eggshells with regard to world-wide and US Islamic issues. Glenn Beck is GONE.

Hilary Clinton of the US State Dept. has legitimized Al-Jazeera news. A link-up of Al-Jazeera with Newscorp in the future is a thought that the Prince could, speculatively, be considering for the future. Beck out, Al-Jazeera in for the future, with current administration backing. It is no secret the Ob adminis. has an agenda against Fox News. Is a stage being set, being played out?
