Does this mean I can quit worrying about the stupid curly bulbs in whose light I can’t tell colors apart?

What ME worry?

If the right thing is done and FREE Americans can make their own decisions as to what to purchase and use in their own homes - Good. (But I won't have to buy any light bulbs for years to come - I'm running out of places to store them...and I'm not the only one. - I was contemplating sewing blackout shades for my windows to hide my illegal use of contraband bulbs. Hope I won't have to -I hate sewing.)

The operative words are: “...could save...” which just as easily could read “...could cost...”

burnt food will be unnoticeable!

ROFLMAO!!! As soon as I read that I thought of my wife. She has burnt more food than a cavewoman. Even my 3 kids will confirm it. (Bless her heart...she tries to do too many things at once).

Reminds me of what the breweries did during Prohibition. They sold bags of malt with brewer's yeast, and included a step-by-step list of things you should not do because it would turn into beer. LOL!

When viewed with LED or fluorescent lights, such materials may appear to have a color different from those observed under sunlight, firelight, or incandescent light.

****

As any female shopper knows as clothing purchased in a department store looks entirely different when seen in sunlight.

Or a shopper for paint who trusts the chips in a story like Home Depot!

Now can we get an American company to remanufacture them?>>>>>>>

GE closed down the last one due to the switch to squigglies. Hopefully new plants will open on US soil

You can purchase compact fluorescent bulbs in identical color temperatures as incandescent bulbs.>>>>>>

That’s OK for you but I don’t like their light. I prefer ye old incandescent. It duplicates the light of a wood fire and a kerosene lamp, oil lamps and candles which people have been reading by for ages. They are warmer

If we all want to reduce greenhouse gases>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

DO NOT FORGET!

No farting either!/s

I detest these enviro whackos.

The last light bulb they had go on was in a solitary, very deep closet, where they all belong.

Can you say “General Electric”? Jeffery Emmelt CEO is obozo’s innovation czar or something like that. You bet this moron will veto. And we should all make THAT real publicly known==one more example of forcing us to buy crap we don’t want and cannot afford.

As opposed to buying cheap incandescent bulbs and turning them off to save on the power bill like most people do already— even without the coming “smart energy grid” that might do this for us again without our permission. Sheesh.

What if the toilet regs get changed to tell us when we should flush......ewwww.

I'm sticking to candles. They were good enough for my great grandma, they're good enough for me.......Romantic dinners at my house daily!... burnt food will be unnoticeable!

ROTFLOL....I wasn't ready for that post..cracked me up. But hey, in the winter time they give off heat as well! I'm not so sure they're cost effective anymore though. Has anyone done the math on that as opposed to lightbulbs?

“the idea that every light in a home was 100 Watt and burned 24/7.”

And the irony is that these stupid curly-fry lightbulbs MUST burn 24/7 to actually get any efficiency from it!!!!!

Otherwise - believe me - they die within short time just like any other light source!

You and me both. I went through the house and recorded every
type of light bulb we use. Then proceeded to Home Depot and
purchased every type in bulk. Going back for another round
next month. Figure on one more round after that. I absolutely despise CFLS!!!!!!
