LOS ANGELES (AP) - The military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy is back in place for the time being, with one major caveat: the government is not allowed to investigate, penalize or discharge anyone who is openly gay.

A San Francisco federal appeals court ordered the military to temporarily continue the controversial policy in an order late Friday, the court's response to a request from the Obama administration.

In its three-page ruling, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals said the ruling was based on new information provided by the federal government, including a declaration from Major General Steven A. Hummer, who is leading the effort to repeal the policy.

What? This is game-playing but for what purpose?

Isn’t the UCMJ controlled by the legislative branch? I was wondering how the Obama regime could dismiss parts of it.

Constitutionally Congress controls the military. However they haven’t been able to control themselves or Obama. It would be a miracle if they could control this situation.

So, if gays sexually harass another male in the barracks, he can’t be dismissed????? Unequal law is illegal. If it is a woman being harassed, there would be immediate consequence.

Of course, the sodomite in the White House and the CA governor want the homosexual lifestyle shoved down the throat literally of everyone....particularly children to normalize their own behavior. To validate themselves. They think they won’t be so self-loathing, if government law forces others to admire what they do with their body parts, no matter how dysfunctional and disease-causing and irrational.

Nietzsche recognized the folly of their “killing off God” and predicted the personality types of Stalin, Mao, Hitler(another sexual deviant), Lenin, Pot, etc., people who have no Universal Standard of right and wrong—they make it up based on whims and “might makes right”.

The US used to have a standard—the laws of nature and God’s laws which gave fundamental freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Homosexual “marriage” destroys this fundamental freedom and worldview. It is unconstitutional from every aspect. You don’t have “rights” due to unnatural sexual behaviors....How silly is THAT??????

There is an established Supra-Positive law that supersedes all man-made-up law in the US and Western tradition (Nuremberg, Birmingham Jail, etc). There is logic and reason at its core—homosexual unions are not logical for any society that wants to flourish and have continuity and freedom of religion. It is government demeaning of the Bible, forcing children to think it is hate speech. Government has NO right to rewrite the Bible or have a standard that opposes the one which grants us God=given Rights. It kills reason and logic and Rule of Law and mocks Just Law.

You ex-military? The Armed Services are, to a large extent, self-policing. Some homo gets up in the wrong face and, believe it, there are things that will be done.

Maybe not, but he can fall down a flight of stairs. Or just fall down. And he can report it to his superiors that way, or risk falling down some more. The military is not a bastion of tolerance, despite the best efforts of the homosexual advocates.

In a related story, some assclown judge somewhere put on his copter beanie and ordered the US to institute a policy of unilateral disarmament; the Obama administration, of course, is in complete agreement and has ordered the military to comply.

Any Reprobate who assaults a fellow service member has violated the law. As someone choosing to ignore the law—
they have no right to expect special protection by the laws the choose to ignore. Service men and women even under todays weak leadership still have the same options available that we had 69-77 when assaulted. I suspect it is just as much a crapshoot if Inquiry would be pursued by the unit Commander today as it was in the days before the FRAUD of DADT. Anybody attempting sodomy against my person can expect to be educated into the Biblical understanding of “abomination worthy of death.”

Bad behavior regardless of the orientation of the players is still subject to UCMJ as it should be.

Hey, some folks is clumsy.

Sure are.

A favorite was yet another use for duct tape. Somebody would be suspended from overhead conduits with the stuff. I watched the captain walk by; he paused for a moment, shook his head and then kept walking. Priceless.

IOW: Don't ask, Don't tell. The title of the article is only half-correct.

But it sounds as if they are giving the bad behavior of homosexuality (which is scientifically proven to be dysfunctional) —a pass——which would include the harassment of other males, since homosexuality can not be discriminated against and considered “bad”.

So, yes, bad behavior is punished, but they are redefining “bad” behavior and that is the whole point of this DADT repeal.

They are trying to force a paradigm change—from the hundreds of years of dominate Christianity to the atheist moral relativistic/Marxist one....that ideology which was so successful in forming the morality of the Russian military which made Patton puke, and the Nazi military and Mao’s—where right and wrong becomes man-determined and ended up killing millions of their own citizens.

Unlike the US, which acknowledges in our Founding documents Supra Positive Law (which is being discarded with the repeal of DADT), we do not allow atrocities against human nature, even if ordered from a Hitler. Yet, we are allowing demeaning, unnatural use of the body, as if it is good and forcing men into “reeducation” centers in a government forced demeaning of their own belief systems—one which is enshrined in our Founding documents and proven to be the most successful government in the history of man. (Marxist have to destroy Western Civilization so they can make us slaves of our passions so they can easily control us).

We can never allow this—or it fundamentally changes our Constitution to one based on arbitrary law—unjust, political law—not God’s laws as stated in our Declaration—the basis of our government. (Not Marx’s law, not Allah’s law, not Wiccan law!!!!) The irrational thinking here is more than silly, it is evil for it destroys the fundamental principles of our legal system and replaces it with a type of government that always has led to chaos and tyranny. That is why we have a particular government which is proven to be the most successful in allowing freedom, creativity, and wealth. There is scientific proof of this and scientific proof of the destruction homosexuality has in societies where it is glorified where pederasty becomes common and (since sexual morality is destroyed by saying homosexual acts are “good”, man/child sex and bestiality become normalized. It is the history of Ancient Greece and Afghanistan now. Women always become second class citizens or worse. Children are sex slaves like with the homosexual Brownshirts who used the Hitler Youth for their orgies.

That is what our government is doing—destroying the Christian morality that made the American army incapable of the mass atrocities of the atheist/pagan militaries thoughout history.

George Washington set the morality of our military and he never tolerated abominable acts such as homosexuality, which indicates the complete lack of any moral standard and denies God which is the foundation of all our rights.

I’m not and I’m sure you’re right. But still, saying don’t prosecute a restrictive policy takes the teeth out of the policy.

...takes the teeth out of the policy.

More onerously, it puts the teeth in the policy at the discretion of the Administration. Rules for me and rules for thee.
