We have special forces troops training the Filipinos but they won’t allow Americans to take part in a rescue attempt. That resulted in disaster in the rescue of missionaries Gracia Burnham and her husband. He was killed along with a Filipino nurse. Their troops didn’t have the equipment to stage a night raid like we would have.
