And there are Christians, on both the right and left

Christians? On the left? Are you referring to the baby-killer "Christians"?

He has removed himself from the Presidential race. You cannot ban the building of religious structures.

I don’t want the Tucson City Council to have the power to ban Baptist churches because we teach homosexuality is sin...and Cain’s argument would give them that ‘right’.

“Is Cain saying that a community can abrogate property rights (a Muslim using his property as he sees fit) or abrogate the actual practice of Islam?”

Regardless of what Mr. Cain says, your post raises valid and relevant questions.

And MY answer is, YES, at some point The West must ban the practice of Islam, and quite possibly may have to expel all Islamics from its midst.

If The West wishes to survive, it has no other alternative.

BTW, I’ve not really considered Mr. Cain a viable candidate. But he is saying here what needs to be said.

Mr. Cain wants The West to win.
I do, as well.

Just sayin’...

"said Sunday that communities have a right to ban Islamic mosques"

Well, that's certainly not a Constitutional right.

Mr. Cain may be right in his sentiments, but he's DEAD WRONG on the law and liberty.

"Cain’s argument still is not clear to me"

The reason it is not clear is that it is not a cogent argument. It's an emotional argument.

It's demonstrative of his limited intellectual capacities when it comes to Constitutional Law.

I was very curious myself about this particular sect.

"I, XXXXXXXXXX, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

You remember this one, I hope.

"How so?"

If you can't see it innately, there's nothing I can say to convince you.

Read the 1st Amendment to the Constitution and get back to me.

It has to do with "The Free exercise thereof".

The Federal Government and the Bill of Rights guarantee such rights to all citizens, even against States Rights.

Cain is a dunce, and if you believe ;his tripe on this matter, you are too...or you are a statist that would regulate religion.

My apologies, sir.

That was too harsh and very unlikely to be your motive or condition.

Anybody who doesn't want to commit national suicide is a statist. I saw you from a mile away, with that legalistic nonsense that paralyzes you in the face of a self-declared mortal enemy.

Your little 'l' brothers are much more sensible.

Let me ask you a simple question. Is Islam at war with the United States?

“The Pentateuch offers a lengthy justification for the legitimacy of the rule of David and the other kings of Judea and Israel.”

Except for the Big Ten, Christians aren’t bound by the laws binding Jews in the Old Testament. E.g., that’s why Christians can eat delicious crispy bacon.

“And there are Christians, on both the right and left, who would argue that Jesus did advocate a particular economic and political system.”

They can argue anything they want, but the actual text of the New Testament belies them. They are wrong.

I generally like Cain, but he is wrong on this one. The constitution is clear.

Do you mean the Constitution should yields itself to destruction?

That wasn't big L that was little l.

I strongly believe that anytime government gets involved in the religion game...either preventing or facilitating...or advocating...or ESTABLISHING...we're all in danger.

Very serious danger.

Especially the preventing part.

If you can build an AOG or Catholic Church in that town, then you can damn well build a Mosque.

I think your core argument is that Islamic Religion is not "religion", but a political system which is a core threat to the USA.

I agree that Islam is a existential threat to the USA.

I also believe Islam cannot sustain itself here. It's too easy to be fully decadent like the rest of us. Islam will wither and die here.

All we have to do is cut off Saudi money for Islamic Charities. And we CAN do that Constitutionally. Cut off external monies.

That was too harsh and very unlikely to be your motive or condition.

Question others who swore the same oath. See if they are motivated by dubious motives.

Again, I asked a simple question.

Is Islam at war with the United States? Try to give an answer that is ten thousand words or less.
