Fallback plan gains momentum in debt talks (Rats and RINOs try to jam "compromise" down our throats)

With time running short in U.S. debt talks, Republican and Democratic senators sought on Sunday to craft a plan that could avert an unprecedented government default while making modest cuts in the deficit.

Aides to President Barack Obama said he still holds out hope for a "grand bargain" that would combine a deal for up to $4 trillion in deficit reduction with an agreement to raise the country's borrowing limit.

But there were few signs of progress as the Aug. 2 deadline to avoid a default drew dangerously close.

Behind the scenes, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid were negotiating over a fallback plan proposed by McConnell that would allow Obama to raise the debt limit while sparing Republicans from having to vote in favor of it.

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell
is not a conservative but yet another DNC plant
against the American people.

1. Decrease debt ceiling.
2. No new taxes.
3. Eliminate ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE
4. NO RINOs.
5. See step 1.

In Fiscal year 2010, entitlement spending was over 100% of federal revenues.

How exactly can we just ignore that elephant in the room?

One of these days, something will cause Social Security to end. Wouldn’t it be preferable to be an organized draw down rather than hitting a brick wall?

And, did anyone NOT expect the worthless GOP to cave on this? The only questions were how hard they would work to make Obama look good and when?

My only surprise is that Boehner hasn't caved, yet.

He wants to, but he can't.

He knows that if he goes benedict arnold on us, the house conservatives will boot him and replace him with Eric Cantor.

Republicans = Party of compromise.

Definition of Compromise according to DH:

You win a little...they lose a little. They win a little...you lose a little. Result is a big fat ZERO. That’s the way the Republicans like it. No loss and no gain means everyone is happy and has self-esteem. However, the citizens lose on every count.

True leaders NEVER COMPROMISE! They fight until they win...and the timid “go along to get along” Republicans sure as hell aren’t leaders.

Within the next few months many of us are going to have to make the tough choice to go with the GOP or independently support a new party. We may have to lose a battle to win a war...only if it’s not too late. We have certainly waited too long and continued to put our trust in the “lifers” and career politicians in our government. Term limits would have corrected the problem but the ones who would have the say on whether we had it or not, were the ones we were trying to get rid of in the first place.

Now, in our nation’s dying gasp, the Mitch McConnels of the GOP are showing their true colors by lying on the ground, rolling over, and exposing their belly to the enemy while wetting the floor.

We just can’t stand by and watch. We have to do something drastic!

The “Grand Compromise” is Raise Taxes Now, and we “promise” (fingers crossed) to reduce spending “somewhere” in the future. The Republicans have caved in on this for decades!

This is the vote we’ve been waiting for. No more hiding by the RINO’s. If this “Grand Compromise” passes it will signal WHO the Tea Party needs to “Primary” next year!

It's giving Obama a blank check without guaranteed cuts.

At least the GOP House Member's plan includes an actual amount, actual cuts, capping the spending and making Constitutional that the Government must live within their means.

Cut spending and lower the debt ceiling. That's right; lower it.
