Posted on 07/18/2011 10:03:08 AM PDT by tutstar
Washington, D.C.James OKeefe, founder of Project Veritas today released its latest undercover investigation. Citizen journalists have uncovered widespread Medicaid fraud in state offices across the country.
The first investigation released focuses on four Medicaid offices in Ohio. The undercover reporters intimate that they are drug dealers, drive expensive cars, and are not U.S citizens. At no time did the case workers ask the reporters to leave. Even though the reporters admit to making their living through drug dealing or facilitating child prostitution, the case workers never called the police, Child Protective Services or the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In fact, the case workers appear eager to assist the reporters in filling out the necessary Medicaid paperwork.
When one of the reporters inquires about Medicaid for his sick father, he asks that if it will be a problem if he sells the herbal remedy, the case worker replies: Well, I mean, it doesnt matter what kind of work he does.
The video begins with a report from The Columbus Dispatch that says it costs Ohio $15.4 billion per year to run the Medicaid programor $29,000 per minute.
In this time of economic uncertainty, the American people deserve to know how their tax dollars are being wasted. said James OKeefe. This is hardly an isolated incident. Government workers willing to aid people with criminal backgrounds and great wealth, should be an outrage to every America.
In the vid, the worker says go to planned parenthood for abortion for 12 yr old.
Medicare Loses Nearly Four Times as Much Money as Health Insurers Make
In a newly released report, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) estimates that, in fiscal year 2010, $48 billion in taxpayer money was squandered on fraudulent or improper Medicare claims. Meanwhile, the nations ten largest health insurance companies made combined profits of $12.7 billion in 2010 (according to Fortune 500). In other words, for every $1 made by the nations ten largest insurers, Medicare lost nearly $4
Actually, it may have been even worse than that: The GAO writes that this $48 billion in taxpayer money that went down the drain doesnt even represent Medicares full tally of lost revenue, since it did not include improper payments in its Part D prescription drug benefit, for which the agency has not yet estimated a total amount.
and we wonder why we’re in a debt crisis.
So those EVIL GREEDY CORPORATE hospitals made $12 billion while Medicaid LOST $48billion??????
what a country
just hand over $12 billion to the hospitals and save $36B
What a video.
Gotta love the get-ups he comes up with - "Sergei Ivanovich" - lol. The Russian pimp accent isn't even good, yet the medicaid .gov worker falls for it. The part where she tells him not to disclose the $800,000 car stands out. "You didn't hear that from me."
I'm still laughing at his pimp costume he used to punk Planned Barrenhood.
He makes them look like the jerks they are while he's nailing them to the wall.
You’re right about that!
Click through to the youtube site (click the video screen twice) and read the comments! The lefties are already all over this one trying to discredit it.
I know! There is a lack of common sense and critical thinking these days!
What I suspect is another big problem is subsidized housing. Our neighbor of 17 yrs decided to rent out her home under section 8. Most of the townhomes in the area rent about 1000/mo for a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath. The tenant has 1 child, single parent and works part time at a fast food place!
I thought about it for a while. Why aren’t they putting them in lower rent places so the taxpayers are picking up such a big piece of the pie? My conclusion is that it’s part of the socialist model to make everyone more ‘equal’.
It just makes you want to cry to see what they’re doing to the country. Friday, ZERO had the audacity to say the Republicans are running up the credit card when he has increased the debt sooooooooooo much in 2 1/2 years.
What a freaking video!!!!!
I hope our entire govt collapses.
I used to WORK for Section 8 as a clerk in a major upstate NY city. I can tell you that this “social engineering” crap was going on then. Trying to move the dregs out into suburbia. I can tell you that if there wasn’t some work requirement for welfare, that girl would not even have a part time job.
The bad accents and cheesy outfits in fact ENHANCE the resulting viewer outrage.
O’Keefe is a genius.
The tip of the iceberg in a FUBAR federal government..
And many States may be as bad or worse..
Most, but not all, I know getting disability(SSA) are not very disabled..
I’ll have to go read the comments. Got really busy today and couldn’t follow it.
I didn’t realize there is a work requirement. So did you see a lot of phony baloney when you worked there? Seems to me there are plenty of them working the system to the max.
Just got an O’Keefe tweet that Ohio medicaid employees put on administrative leave. Shoulda been fired imo.
You don’t know the HALF of it! One of the reasons why I quit. And it wasn’t easy either. A steady job with pretty good benefits and two children to support on my own. I had just moved out of the inner city 4 years before that b/c I wanted a better life/school district for my children.
I saw so much fraud! City police officers with their breeding cow on welfare, Section 8, WIC, foodstamps, HEAP, etc. etc. claiming that they were the “landlord” of their breeding cow. Funny thing was the kids had the same last name and some were even a “Jr.” i.e. Jose Perez Jr. when the “landlord” was Jose Perez, city cop. (ficticious name for obvious reasons)
Said “landlord” had purchased the house for himself and his family to live in obviously even though he claimed to be living with HIS mother (how nice).
The response of the bureaucrats? “We don’t get admin fees for cutting people off the program; turn your head and keep those checks rolling.”
After I left, they “blackballed” me from getting employed again for the next two years. I had to hire an agency to find out what was going on. Totally took a dive financially and had to drastically change my career!
