There were times these last 3 weeks where it felt like we were trying to make some fish and a couple loaves of bread go an awful long way.
But 3 weeks of: boots on the gound, fingers on the keyboard, and good old fashioned volunteerism paid off big time this weekend!
Victory Film Group’s The Undefeated opened on Friday July 15, 2011 and ended up having an average gross of $6570 per theater. If that wasn’t enough to convince the dwindling sceptics: The Undefeated was ahead of EVERY movie except Harry Potter!
Organize4Palin (O4P) CA volunteers have worked double time these last 3 weeks to help coordinate success for this ground breaking (game-changing?) documentary chronicling the rise and battles Sarah Palin has faced in her 20 year political career.
Ever the prudent fiscal conservatives; O4P CA was able to generate fantastic box-office results in Orange, CA with practically no marketing money.
Gals & Guys: When we stand together in solidarity…we win!
By using Facebook, Twitter, Email, and the telephone volunteers successfully mobilized people to the theater.
Friday started with an O4P CA Tailgate in the parking lot at The Block in Orange.
Using the standard O4P fiscally prudent approach to politicking; we mobilized and notified ticket holders (of the 7pm show) that we would be in the parking lot.
The 1st 100 people with tickets (and to be honest a few others who just happened to be there, and just happened to want to know how to get Sarah Palin into the White House) received free souvenir Undefeated buttons.
We registered new O4P volunteers, passed out O4P resources, answered questions about Sarah Palin, and recruited a lot of new patriotic David’s looking for a sling shot to smack Goliath right between the eyes with.
Talking to people is so very powerful. Talking to people is our greatest opportunity. Talking to people is where we take our limited amount of fish and bread and turn it into a feast.
At 9pm O4P CA had a Meet-up/After Party at El Torito right across from the theater.
Energized, empowered, and reinforced from seeing The Undefeated O4P CA invaded, occupied and seized control of El Torito’s massive back patio.
Our O4P registration forms doubled as raffle tickets too!
Tammy Bruce who stars in The Undefeated not only attended the O4P CA meet up she also donated (and signed) five copies of her book, The Death of Right and Wrong.
Thank you Tammy Bruce!
Susan and Ray from O4P CA San Francisco’s Essex & Orange 1773 donated two gift bags (including the iconic GAME ON! T-Shirt), two boxes of buttons, and two packs of bumper stickers for the raffle!
Ray and his partner flew down from San Francisco to attend the event, see the movie, bring the gift bags, and donate some posters from the Essex & Orange 1773 free download section.
(NOTE: when Emailed to your local Mom & Pop print shop, and printed out on foam board, these FREE POSTERS are beyond perfect to take with you to Tea Party’s, O4P Meet-Ups, etc. These free images can be used for cards, posters, stickers, flyers, etc. If you are not familiar with the Essex & Orange 1773 FREE DOWNLOAD SECTION you need to be; it is a priceless resource in the coming battle)
Thank you Susan, Ray, & Keith!
Right before the raffle began we took advantage of having such a large group together and we taped a Public Service Announcement.
It is a plea to Sarah Palin during our countries most desperate hour. A nation in need is calling upon Mrs. Palin to pick up the torch and continue the fight.
The fight that began with Washington, was a fight endured by Lincoln, and advanced by Reagan.
Now it is your turn to fight.
To lead us in this fight we need a leader with a steel spine and a servants heart.
We need Sarah Palin.
Click HERE to see the video message from O4P CA.
Coming together with other people like we did shows us and reminds us of what we are now called upon to do.
We must be empowered with confidence, inspired to get involved, and prepared for action.
You are important. You matter. Ordinary people and concerned samaritans across our country must come together to defend our liberty, our freedom, and our responsibilities.
Now is the time to get people registered with O4P in your local community.
Every able body will be needed if we are to win this battle.
It starts with you, it starts now.
Contact your local O4P State Coordinator and find out what you can do to help them.
If the last 3 weeks are any indication, we can expect great things from our CA volunteers.
If we work hard enough in California we will see Reagan Country rise again!

Is the plan as follows?:
1) People (haters and fans alike) pay hard-earned money to go out of their way and use up part of a weekend or evening to watch what they know going in is a pro-Sarah Palin movie.
2) People like what they see, and Sarah’s opponents have the scales from their eyes and decide to vote for her.
3) Sarah becomes President.
A nice idea. It seems a bit unrealistic (particularly steps 1 and 2), but maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.
Everyone knew how the movie Titanic would end, but they still went to see it. LOL
Wonderful work on this thread. And, of course, on what you are doing in CA.
It could very well happen...
I doubt the haters will ever change their mind; however, I believe the documentary will be very effective for the squishy middle, msm-influenced conservatives, and republican leaning independents. “Generic Republican” blows Obama out of the water; hence, maximize the turnout on our side is all we need to win.
My recommendation: Make Your Time.
My question is, what is going to cause people to want to see this? I mean, maybe it will happen. I don’t see it happening.
I wish them the best.
>> I believe the documentary will be very effective for the squishy middle, msm-influenced conservatives, and republican leaning independents.<<
I am going to take a chance here and ask a question.
What impetus in the world would prompt a squishy middle, msm-influenced conservatives and/or republican leaning independent to drop between $8 (alone and walking to the theater) to $100+ (for the family in the nearby multiplex + snacks for all) to see this movie?
By definition they are squishy and Gov. Palin’s rise isn’t of entertainment interest to him or her.
How does it follow?
Its going to take grassroots efforts (Check out this video produced by Volunteering4Palin, which is primary centered in Georgia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZfxc9uO0oQ&feature=player_embedded). The advertising for this movie is less than $50,000 and has only been through local media channels and social networking). So far I’ve seen dozens of anecdotal evidence of people turning their moderate and conservative friends to the movie and getting them to change their minds about her. The theater run is merely the test run and will not be where the strength of the movie will lie. In reality, most of the benefits of the movie will occur when it goes to DVD and PPV because Palin supporters will then easily be able to show it at local tea party and republican meetings.
Awesome thread! Thanks for the hard work!
See my post above. Palin activists taking their friends has been the primary impetus; however, most of the benefits will occur when the movie goes on DVD and PPV.
Try to remember what water cooler conversations were like before Rush Limbaugh.
This movie is like Rush, in that what is on screen will make it to water cooler discussions, family gatherings, and into conversations every where, the DVD will reach deeper.
It helps unite and bond, and energize conservatives in a national movie experience, even those like me that will not be able to see it.
It is more good publicity. I’m glad that Mitt Romney or Obama are not having this success.
>>See my post above. Palin activists taking their friends has been the primary impetus; however, most of the benefits will occur when the movie goes on DVD and PPV.<<
Up until Aug 1, you might have a larger population. had Netflix streamed it it may have been looked at my more eyeballs.
But now that so many will be cancelling their Netflix accounts (including me), that reduces the number...
But the “aftermarket” is where this movie can make its mark for sure.
And tracking the aftermarket numbers of it will tell us a lot about how America perceives Gov. Palin — or whether it cares about her at all.
O4P is now blocking the download of the photos.
Well, it’s really more of a D. James Kennedy Evangelism Explosion model than a Finny tent meeting model. You haven’t described it quite right. The twofold theory is that even many Palin supporters do not fully understand who she is. This film educates believers and doubters alike. The shock at the discrepancy between the media portrayal and the human reality is a huge factor in the conversion effect. Fans get motivated and get better at spreading the word, and new fans are created. Yes, its true. I took my son with me. He was neutral on Palin. Now he’s a fan. Why? Because now he gets who she is and how good it would be to have someone like her in DC, in power and kicking butt. When its just dad talking, well, thats just dad. But seeing it unfold in a story has an altogether different impact. The anecdotes of that personal impact spur next-wave interest in seeing the movie, one friend at a time. And then it goes viral through social media and human networking. New fans get their friends and family to see it. Word keeps spreading. This model is a tremendous force multiplier.
O4P is now blocking the download of the photos. What do you mean?
Please elaborate, and I'll work on getting that fixed, if I can.
Please also check out SoConPubbie's "after action" thread:AFTER-ACTION REPORT: The Undefeated! Orange, CA:
BTW, Essex and Orrange 1773 which is affiliated with O4P, CA has a lot of awesome images, posters, etc... that the artists is allowing us to use for free as long as you give the proper acknowledgements and follow their copyright.
Right now this is my favorite poster:
You saved me a BUNCH of cutting and pasting -- and "doctoring" the HTML......since **I** was going to post this myself, later tonight!
Right now this is my favorite poster...LOL!
I also like their "Fight Like a Girl!" bumper sticker...
...and their "Joan of Arc"-type images of Governor Palin.Would you please post a few more of those wonderful EssexandOrange1773 images here, Anamnesis?
I'm going to be offline for a while. Thanks, Ron
You, SoConPubbie, Thomas, and the rest of the crew at O4P, CA deserve a lot of the credit for the work you all are doing. The other candidates won’t know what’s coming because they can’t possibly conceive the multi-pronged, self-motivated, self-assembled, bottoms-up strategy that could lead Palin into the White House. By the time they even think about organizing in CA, it will be too late.
The images are not showing up on the thread, even after going to their page and getting them into my cache, they still don’t load on the thread.
Are you sure it isn’t something on your end? I checked on several of my computers at home and on my android phone. The images show up on all of them.
You second 'cold water post' - and only 8 posts in. One begins to think you're an adamant backer of another horse.
Your question is curious in light of this thread reporting on how successful this has been already - first in the testing phase which was so successful it quickly rolled into this wider release - which came in second ONLY to HARRY POTTER - and it's a documentary to boot!
That's pretty phenomenal and certainly attests to the fact that PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THIS.
You sound like a " I like Sarah BUT..." - doesn't fool anyone. Your I wish THEM the best. is a dead giveaway...'THEM'? IOW, not your side of the fence.
It may amaze you that while many of us would vote for Sarah in a heartbeat, not many are members of the Cult of Sarah.
Live with it. Learn to deal with constructive criticism.
And are you saying no other candidate may be supported on FR?
That’s news to me.
THANK YOU for posting those WONDERFUL images, Anamnesis!
Check out all the CREATIVE new "Sarah" pix from:
In 1773, it was a gathering place for those Americans who stood against the tyranny of taxation, and struck a blow for independence at the Boston Tea Party.
We believe that we are now in the process of another battle for independence, and that this New Revolution will bring about a new era in America, an era of smaller government and more power in the hands of the people.
We also believe that our power stands in our willingness to stand up for our beliefs and show support for our principles. Our line of products is geared towards that goal, but instead of hitting people over the head with slogans weve decided to take another road.
We prefer to win people over with color, whimsy, and fun.
You wont find nasty verbiage or offensive images here, its not our style. Instead we honor American heroes, both past and present, and revisit what makes us great as a nation...
Thanks for the ping!
The images come up just fine from their website, and all the other FR threads are working fine.
Any time someone pulls out the “troll” card on a Sarah Palin thread, it’s a safe bet they are in the cult.
thank you...I want to see it soon.
