How will critics go after Perry?

Will????

They already are!!!! Ever since his name first surfaced. Just like they are going at Bachmann, who seems to be gaining some.

Any Pubbie who even seems like a potential contender is getting slammed, while the Affirmative Action Obama continues to get pass after pass.

We see it the same way. I'm past the point of waiting for Jesus to show up to run so I'll take the best I can get to take out the fraud we now have in the WH.

It is absolutely amazing to witness people's reactions to Perry. If this momentum keeps up, he's in. People that had no idea whom to support before it was appearing that Perry would be throwing his hat in the ring are now moving to Perry. He has been able to do something no other candidate had been able to do.

I have posted before that I see Perry as the comprise go-to guy. Romney has too much baggage with ObamaRomneycare and his religion. Bachmann is too conservative for the 'moderate' Republicans. That makes Perry more palatable to both sides.

I live in Texas.

I’m not a Perry fan.

That said, if he gets the GOP nod, I’ll vote for him and although some here on FR will scream about his RINOism, they too will vote for Perry.

Obama’s gotta go.

I can see a Perry/Rubio ticket absolutely drubing Obama in a presidential race.

You're welcome CGG.

I read this morning that things are getting set up for Perry in Iowa.

And for those who want to look over his Texas Gov. website:

Rick Perry: Office of the Governor

Eh, Erickson is a Perry supporter. He never has been a Palin supporter as I'm sure he likes his paycheck from CNN.

Think about it. Sarah is young. If she ran with Perry as vp he could do two terms and she w b a shoe in for pres. A Perry/palin ticket w b unstoppable.

The GOP needs a ROCK star to compete with ZERO — as bad as our economy and country are at this point under him, there are still enough stupid people to vote for him.

It’s a necessity to get someone who can WIN!!

None of the current candidates can beat 0 and, that definitely includes Romney!

Is it ok for a person to back a candidate and post news about them without having a handful of people running from thread to thread to disrupt them? We don't run to Palin threads to bash her.

Yes there will be many conversations taken out of context.

I stayed up late (for me!) and found out why these persistent few FReepers troll my Perry posts. Some flat refuse to say who they’re for (always a BIG RED FLAG for me). It seems some are Independents, one heads a CA chapter called “American Independent Party” who championed Ambassador Keyes, one is a Palin supporter who believes “Gardasil-TTC” links will help her run, and others suggest I’m a Giuliani supporter and too unclean to be posting on FR.

....We don't run to Palin threads to bash her.

In fact I've posted a multitude of Palin threads -- even vanity ones like this.

Yech. We’ve got an exceptional reformer candidate and leader in Palin and you want her to play second fiddle again to a go-along-get-along globalist? No thanks!

There is nothing in the style and presentation of Perry that will appeal to Easterners once they see and hear him and get an understanding of how thoroughly he has wrapped his governorship in the Bible.

His baseline resume a two and a half term governor from a high-growth state has appeal. But once they start coming to know Perry directly I can guarantee that they’re not going to warm to him at all.

Did you listen to the interview? Erickson posed all the questions I felt needed an answer above.
