BRONX, NY (PIX11)— "I asked them to lower their voices and then they started in on me, 'Shut the f--- up, white boy. We'll beat the s--t out of you, cracker.'"
Jason Fordell, 29, of the Bronx, said that was the first exchange he had with three black men and a Hispanic man on the #4 subway train near Grand Central early Sunday morning, and by the time the train got to Fordham Road, Fordell says he was being beaten and stomped by other passengers who were egging the original group on. "Eventually, half the car" joined in, Fordell told PIX 11 Monday, showing us his badly bruised left eye. Most of the suspects got away, after stealing his bags and money, and Fordell said the incident should have been treated as a hate crime.
Fordell told us he had been selling leather, Goth-style clothing he designs at an East Village club, before heading home about 5am Sunday morning. He was tattooed and dressed in black, Goth attire--to help market his products--when he transferred to the #4 train at 42nd Street. That's when he asked the group to quiet down.
The argument escalated as the train headed north, Fordell said. "They started saying racist things like white boy this, white boy that.". Fordell said he was getting angry when the Hispanic man joined the taunting, "They're calling me cracker, and so I called him s--c."PIX 11 asked, "So you used a slur?--If you're using racial slurs, why should police call it a hate crime?" Fordell's response: "because they're the ones who started with me."
Fordell told us he's blind in the left eye, so the eye turns in, and the group started taunting him about that. He said he called 9-1-1 and suggested police meet the train at Burnside Avenue. He then lost the 9-1-1 call. Before he reached Fordham Road, Fordell told PIX 11 the beating began, "A bunch of people started stomping on me, and I had footprints on my back."
Fordell said two guys from the original group stole his bags, so he chased them down to the Metrocard booth at Fordham Road. The fight continued. When cops arrived, he pointed out a straphanger that he said had joined in the beating. "I recognized him, because he had an Army hat on.". Police arrested 54-year-old Barminth Ramoutar of Queens, who had no prior criminal record. Ramoutar is being charged with felony gang assault. The original group got away.
Fordell insists the beating was a race thing. "If I was dressed 'hip hop' and I was darker, I don't think it would have happened in the first place."
When we called the NYPD to ask why the incident wasn't deemed a hate crime, a spokesman said detectives had to evaluate a number of things. "Was race the motivating factor in the assault? Our Hate Crime Task Force was not investigating it as a bias incident."
Fordell said the Goth accessories that were stolen were worth between five and ten thousand dollars. He said he started designing because "the economy is so messed up, and I kept trying to find work. I don't want to be on unemployment like everyone else. I manage to pay my rent."
When PIX 11 happened to meet another Goth fan at the Forham Road station on Monday, he sympathized with Fordell but said he shouldn't have complained about the noise. "He should have just switched cars," said Joey Martinez.

Well, in a way you are right. But, I don’t care how dumb this guy was...if it was the other way around, and the victim here was the black one, well...you know what we all would be hearing now. This event would have made the national news, demonstrations would be in the streets, Sharpton would be at his side and Jesse Jackson would be on a plane to NY to support the victim and rally the troops. Yep, there would be holy he** in NY if he were not a white guy who received the beating .
So many people are afraid to admit it, but the africanization of this culture is what is ruining this country.

Recently, one perp boarded with a shower cap on and phone glued to her ear, yakking incessently in ‘cell phone free’ car. When someone stood to ask her to be quiet, she stood up and hollored, “hey mother——, don’t you know? Obama’s the president now, we ain’t yer slaves no mo.” It ended only at last stop where police had to escort her away after threatening several nearby passengers. Jeesh!
Problem with many white New Yorker City types are they tend to be liberal and cannot mind their own business. Unfortunately they are slowly learning that their nanny tendencies are running into black/hispanic inner city intolerance of anyone trying to tell them what to do or not to do especially from whites.
Not long ago a white New York subway rider complained to two black girls eating on the subway car during rush hour. Based on the youtube video, the white lady did not like the slurping sound as one of the black girl was eating her take out speghetti dinner while riding. It almost started a severe beating and stomping as the two infuriated black girls confronted the white lady complainer and made threatening moves. Granted how the girls reacted is wrong, but why in the Sam Hill did the white woman open her mouth and complain to them. White liberals being beaten by black inner city kids who are suppose to be their political allies is a sight to behold. Contrary to many freepers, I like to see more of it. Maybe many white liberals may start to have second thoughts about inner city blacks.

Reality. One way enforcement of “hate crime” laws will not decrease hate but will increase it. It was the perception of blacks getting preferential treatment by law enforcement during reconstruction that gave birth to the KKK. Our justice system needs to tread lightly here. It does not have to be real injustice. A general perception that the system is unjust will result in vigilantism. A really bad by-product is that innocent people get hurt in the overall increase in violence.
Where is Mayor Tinkerbell, shouldn’t he be having a press conference or something, seem he has time to stick his nose into everything else...must be busy with trasfats and salt legislation...that will make NYC safe...
Anyone who rides the subway. Years ago they actually had straps attached to the over head pole to hand onto when all the seats were taken (rush hour).
My greatest contempt and anger is toward their manipulators, the white liberal "plantation Masters." The "Masters" have used them as a foil to destroy our former civil society in order to build their world socialist "utopia." From LBJ onward they have systematically been at work dismantling the foundations of American society.
I also have endless contempt for the voters who have been brainless enough to elevate these tribal despots into positions of power sufficient to destroy America. Obama is a self-inflicted disaster.
It's legal everywhere in the US, our Constitution says so. Those laws making it "not legal" are themselves not legal.

60’s too, I use to ride all over alone, to Flushing and down to Canal. I am thinking of a New England cruise out of NJ and would like to revisit some old haunts, but getting there on public transits worries me.

The one and only time I ever rode the NYC subway was on a business trip about a decade ago. I was with two co-workers and after a few rounds they decided that they wanted “the NY subway experience”. I reluctantly tagged along on a late-night ride from South Manhattan to Times Square. It would have been only mildly uncomfortable had one of my co-workers not been one of those annoying types that insisted on chatting up every girl in the room. He kept approaching a girl who was obviously with a couple of gangbangers. After he did it twice the playas started getting ready to do some business. At that point we happened to be stopped at a station and we more or less frog-marched our buddy off the train. BTW, Times Square was seedy and dismal. We caught a cab back to the hotel.

So true. When I was a kid, I secretly suspected that the only thing that blacks were capable of saying was "whatta you lookin' at?" because that was all I ever heard them say. Back in the '70s that phrase was usually accompanied by a menacing advancing step and a balled fist. (Keep in mind I was under 10 and these upstanding citizens of color were mostly adults.) I learned pretty fast not to look at them. So did all the other kids that I compared notes with.
Arm yourself(even if it is against the laws of your masters) or leave the zoo.
Those are the only two reasonable choices open to you. The badges will do nothing to help you and bystanders would be just as likely as not to join in the beat down.

I grew up in NY, and the first thing my parents drilled into me about the city was to become deaf and dumb to people with even the slightest hint about making trouble.
And clear out if there is the slightest problem. My mom told me, “The rule to surviving in the city is stay in the good areas, stay off the subway, try never to be alone, and pretend everyone is a nut that doesn’t ooze respectability.
And don’t start or egg on ANY fights. You never know when they are a nut or a violent minority racist.
Apparently not a smart or safe thing to say that morning.
