Cain/Bachmann and I can sleep at night again ;-)
This is quite possibly the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of.
Rusty Humphries is a favorite of mine.
If Sarah doesn't hop in, that ticket works for me. I would love to see Palin/West or Palin/Cain. Either of those would really open my checkbook :)
Apparently you don't hear yourself speak.
None of whom will beat Obama. I’ll skip this “debate.”
As if the 30-second to 1-minute Q&A “debates” aren’t bad enough, now we have this crap Twitter site with its 140-character limitations.
On the bright side we won't have the Obama / Pawlenty method of telling a story or spouting talking points until time runs out.
Have you stopped beating your wife?
Bachmann’s opening statement:
TeamBachmann .@140townhall TY for this forum. @I’m running 4 POTUS 2 bring the voice of the people back to DC. @That voice requires fundamental changes.
TeamBachmann .@140townhall Fundamental change in how we spend #taxpayer $, & return to constitutional principles of ltd govt and personal responsibility
TeamBachmann .@140townhall Obama failed. With ur help we can return the people’s voice to the WH, restore fiscal sanity, & make Obama a 1 term president.
Gingrich opening statement:
newtgingrich Thx to @140townhall @secupp @TalktoRusty @TheTeaParty_net @NYKellen @ @DustinStockton @AndrewHemingway
newtgingrich As conservatives we know replacing a Dem w/ a Repub is not enough to return America back to job creation and balanced budgets. @140townhall
newtgingrich If I am elected the next time a president says the era of big govt is over hell mean it. My intro video: http://t.co/sus1ifk @140townhall
We ought to have a FreeRepublic candidate debate, moderated by JimRob. It would beat the heck out of that Twitter crap.
Thad McCotter’s opening statement:
ThadMcCotter .@140townhall Our American Dream is endangered. America’s dismantling. Abroad, our troops fight terrorists & tyrants; Iran goes nuclear;
ThadMcCotter .@140townhall& communist China claims the 21st Century. At home, R 14 mil unemployed; 30+ mil underemployed; inflation up; real wages down.
ThadMcCotter .@140townhallBig Govt & Big Biz claim they are bigger than We, the People. And we wonder if we matter anymore. You matter more than ever!
I didn’t even know he would be in the debate. he wasn’t listed in the opening article.
I agree, but I’d make a terrible moderator. Need someone better versed in issues and political campaigning. Hey, how about you?
Having seen the treatment that other candidates have been given when they’ve signed in on FR I would be very suprised if any of them would show up.
It’d been fun the first time Willard went to answer a question and you shouted FUMR.
I happen to be his wife...
you may want to rephrase the crapt you type...
Yup. Completely biased and tactless moderator. And proud of it.
My mother hates him.....’cuase he is BIASED!!!!
but then she thinks Obama is dong a “good job”
Herman Cain’s opening statement:
THEHermanCain @140townhall It’s great to join you all in this debate of ideas. Tea Partiers & all conservatives deserve to hear what our candidates think.
THEHermanCain @140townhall My 40-year record as a job creator & a solutions-oriented leader makes me a unique & qualified candidate to be Americas CEO.
THEHermanCain @140townhall I appreciate the opportunity to communicate directly with the citizens movement. Thanks Rusty & S.E. for moderating this event
Cain is MY MAN!!!
Rick Santorum’s opening statement:
RickSantorum @140townhall Great to be w @TheTea Party_net. I am running for pres because Obamacare threatens the soul of America - God given liberty.
RickSantorum .@140townhall In 2008 Americans voted for a pres they thought they could be in, I will be a president who believes in you, the people
RickSantorum .@140townhall and i have a record in DC to back it up. please watch: http://t.co/UyocVV3
Rick is a nice guy.....but weak....he just strikes me as a wimp
Gary Johnson’s opening statement:
GovGaryJohnson I’m Gary Johnson former two-term Republican governor of New Mexico. @140TownHall
GovGaryJohnson In office I vetoed 750 bills, cut taxes 14 times & left the state with a $1 billion budget surplus: http://t.co/JXQEeSG. @140TownHall
Gary is the unknown Ron Paul....
his speach makes him sound a tad gay to boot...
Newt, McCain, and Palin have the same attorney (friend of mine)...
I think Palin is the smartest of the four...I was told 2 yrs ago she would not run.....but I wonder if she isn’t playin’ the other 3.....
I always wonder when this elite political establishment will hit bottom, and they keep surprising me by going lower.
I wonder if anyone believes George Washington would do something like this.
"However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."
Nope. Just won't fit into 140 characters...
Maybe something from G.K. Chesterton:
"It is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are hanged." #gkchesterton
Hey, that's only 77 characters!
We’re all conservatives here, knock it off please.
I suppose your right. I haven’t seen Pat Buchanan around these parts since 2000. ;-)
