FORT HOOD, Texas -- The lead attorney for the man charged in the 2009 deadly [terrorist attack] rampage at Fort Hood says he is stepping down from the case temporarily.
His announcement on Wednesday came shortly before Maj. Nidal Hasan's first court appearance since it was announced he'll face the death penalty. It was unclear if Hasan was going to enter a plea at his arraignment on the Texas Army post.

When he's convicted.
They could convict without any classified evidence. Just the eyewitness testimony should be enough. That at the Art. 32 hearing was pretty horrific, and quite damming.

Attorneys often quit when their client intends to commit perjury.
The saddest thing about this case is that, from my understanding, the victims weren’t allowed to be armed.
What kind of military do we have that doesn’t allow soldiers to carry firearms?

This is true, so why is Galligan insisting the trial can’t go forward unless he has his classified access restored?
Because IMO he wants to implicate Hasan’s chain of command, that’s the only strategy available for the defense. Therefore the chain for its own survival has to drag their feet in giving him access.
Simple justice in convicting a mass murderer for his evil deeds as were witnessed by many, becomes nearly impossible as a result. Hasan could wind up like KSM or the terrs at Gitmo, for years on end.
The military emphasizes sensitivity training--yet wasn't sensitive to the clear jihad signals from Hasan.
The danger increases.
The military is being dumbed down worse than the education system.
