I know that we didn't get much ADVANCE NOTICE, but...
...can anyone join us -- to support this wonderful new film about Governor Palin?
Personally, I'm planning to WATCH the 4:50 pm show, and then WORK THE CROWD before the 7:45 pm show...
...and then CELEBRATE, starting at 8 pm, with the folks from BOTH shows at an "after party" nearby.
TAMMY BRUCE was at last week's "after party" in Orange.
Why not join us THIS WEEK's "after party" -- just to see who might be there?
Please RSVP on this thread, or FReep-mail me.

I grew up in Chino but I doubt I’d want to live there now, from what I hear.

LOLOL!
We **knew** that you would not be here yet!
(Steve Bannon and I are conspiring against you!)
Seriously, you can come watch "The Undefeated" with us ANYTIME (in ORANGE, or in ONTARIO)...
...until it's "limited theatrical release" ends -- soon.

Friday doesm/t look good Ron. A couple friends and I are on for Thursday, a matinee before our Republican Central Committee meeting just across the street.

Saturday might be possible too.

I understand, fantail_1952.
I really think that we have to have an O4P presence there on opening night, Friday, July 22 at this new venue...
...but we can come back again, to join you at a showing just before your meeting...
...which is on Thursday, July 28, right?

Excellent!
It will be like "old times" to see you again!
If something happens, and you CANNOT be there -- I will understabd.
But, **I** will be there, no matter what.
I plan to have a "GOOD" turnout there, but if we don't, this will not be my FIRST "one man FReep." ;)
The plan is to get as many of us as possible to buy a ticket, and then meet INSIDE the theater by 4 pm, to talk to people BEFORE the 4:50 pm show begins.
And then, we will all meet AFTERWARDS for a mini-"after party" at CHEVY's -- for FOOD and FELLOWSHIP, and networking...
...and plan for our NEXT event.

You are causing me to violate the 10th Commandment big-time, there.

I'm stuck in Minneapolis, far from the event.

And I miss Chevy's from my days in Phoenix...

Cheers!

It now appears that AMC has pulled the plug on all of the initial ten theaters that originally showed "The Undefeated."
Movietickets.com has NO SHOWTIMES posted online after Thursday, July 28 -- except for the new four theaters just added. :(
It appears that those of us who live near the original theaters have been TESTED, and found wanting.
Not sure exactly what this means for Governor Palin's campaign, but we need to prepare for the "blowback" from this -- which may be substantial.

What blowback?

They're going to other distribution channels.

Cause the point is to advance the information in the movie, not just to sell tickets.

Cheers!

This was a test: Can we get butts in seats?

At best, our success in this endeavor was “mixed.”

We sold out a few of the early showings, but were NOT able to maintain that level of support for even a week or two.

“Getting out the vote” requires a similar level of intensity from our “grassroots” organization — and it appears from the results to date that we are NOT (yet) “ready for prime time.”

Perhaps Governor Palin’s actual entrance into the race will energize her “ground team” more than the botched “theatrical release” of this wonderful movie has.

I am somewhat disappointed in the short term — but still optimistic for the longer term.
