Majority of US Jews disapproves of Obama's Arab-Israeli conflict policy; separate poll shows Muslims blame West for domestic problems.
WASHINGTON – US President Barack Obama handily defeats his current Republican presidential opponents among Jewish voters, according to a poll put out by J Street Thursday.
At the same time, the majority of American Jews disapproves of his handling of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the poll found.
Obama currently enjoys 63 percent of the American Jewish vote compared to 24% for Mitt Romney and 67% when facing off against Michele Bachmann, who received 19% support, according to the poll.
Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, and Bachmann, a Minnesota Congresswoman, are leading polls of announced contenders for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
Polling in 2008 showed Obama with a similar lead over his Republican competitor John McCain, though he ended up garnering 78% of the Jewish vote according to exit polls.
The J Street poll also showed much higher Jewish approval ratings for Obama than most other American constituencies, finding that 60% approve of the way he is handling his job. An aggregate of other polls shows that his national approval ratings are in the mid-40s.

Reform Judaism, which is the faith of most American religious Jews, is based on the theological perspective of Moses Mendelsohn, and is not much different from 19th Century Unitarianism, or for that matter modernist Christianity in any form. Protestant or Catholic. For them Scripture has little prescriptive authority, and its truth is regarded as more poetic than real. Socialism and political liberalism is as much a part of their creed as any notion of jews as God’s chosen people. They have supported Zionism as much, or more, for its belief that the Jews are entitled to a nation-state as much as the French, the English or the Germans,than for any real belief in the restoration of the ancient nation of Biblical times. Further, I don’t think that Orthodox Jews attach much significance to this idea of a nation state if it proves not to fulfill God’s will as stated in the Torah and the Writings. But better ask a Jew rather than this Christ who has a high regard for Jews but not a deep knowledge of their views of the matter.

It was a great moment in sports.
Just a point of information- There are huge orthodox Jewish communities in the US. These communities are the ones having the babies, sending $$ to Israel, and voting in blocs to support Israel here. Israel's Haredi (religious) are probably around 1/5th of the Jewish population in Israel. That would put them around one million souls.
The religious in the US probably just a little less than that. The difference is that the Reform and Conservative movements have completely different ideologies than than either the religious Jews (both here and there) and the secular Israelis who all must fight for Israel and recognize Obamsky as a clear and present danger to all Jews in Israel. Even (most of) the Israeli left in Israel realizes that Obama has been bad for Israel's Jews.
Many secular Jews here in the US are little better than than the Jews who defended the communists under the USSR when it comes to their brethren in Israel.
Since 1916, Jews have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats up to 90%.
They always go for the most left wing candidate. Democrats lost support when someone was running on the Socialist Party ticket.
This is what happens when the Reform movement made huge inroads into American Jewish life. It divorced God from Jews and substituted nonsensical meanderings. Soul-searching deprived Jews latched onto a variety of Godless causes trying to fill up the vacuum that was left. Some got into Yoga, some became Buddhists, and a lot converted to the 'church of the DemocRATic party'. We are now realizing the fruit born of these seeds.
Their approval or disapproval doesn’t matter. Come election day, American Jews will still overwhelmingly vote for the leftists, even if the ticket is Baal-Moloch, and their platform is simply “Destroy Israel and kill all of the Jews”.
Leftism is Jewish heroin, and American Jews are junkies.

My mother’s side of the family in England dates back for hundreds of years. Generations have never experienced any persecution and my grandparents are leftists who only vote Lib Dem. I honestly have no clue how my mom turned out so conservative.
But, my paternal grandparents are (or were...they passed away) recent immigrants to America after fleeing persecution in the Soviet Union. I’m not the most observant Jew (much to the discontent of my father), but the stories they told and the pictures they showed are the reason why I, my siblings, and other family members are conservative.
One might thinks so, but there are many who suffered under Hitler or the USSR who blame God for their suffering. It is, in truth, a rational response to one of the age old questions of faith: "Why do the wicked prosper and righteous suffer?". Values are inculcated from parents, teachers, and clergy. In our case- Rabbis. Often, experiences of suffering can bring one to faith, but it is not necessarily so.
Actually, the golden calf is a valuable lesson (this week). The children of Israel saw the miracles at Sinai and yet still made the calf. This is our history. :(
It’s funny. I didn’t even think about how experiences would push someone from their faith even though the sudden loss of my mother and paternal grandparents is why I’m not the most observant person. I lashed out hard when it happened, and I still carry a lot of anger, but I’ve been working my way back from the complete abyss. I hope other people can find their way back, but I won’t hold my breath.
Cmon - this thread is based on a J STREET poll. Anyone who follows this stuff closely knows that they are false-flag anti Israel group sponsored by Soros.
I’m getting tired of people using these threads to tee off on Jews when there actually are some of us who are conservative Republicans Jews whose mission is to vote Obama out of office. He makes Jimmy Carter look like a piker when it comes to Jew hatred.
