The Los Angeles Department of Transportation has fired a 23-year veteran employee who appeared in uniform three years ago in a pornographic video.
Traffic officer John K. Dancler was discharged Monday. He challenged his firing on the same day, filing an appeal with the citys five-member Civil Service Commission, said Maggie Whelan, general manager for the citys Personnel Department.
Dancler was hired in 1988 and earned nearly $56,000 annually. Whelan would not give a reason for the termination. Another traffic officer who appeared in the video, Vaughn Dorsey, still works for the department, Whelan said.

What kind of “appearance” in uniform.
The real reason for his firing is probably because he is a Conservative Republican that refuses to pay union dues. A Democrat would not be scrutinized as much and would recieve a different badge...of honor.
This thread is just fine without pictures.
“Stop or I’ll Shoot”
LOL. The truly obscene part of this story is that the starting salary for a traffic officer is $56K.
Apparently it wasn't much of a "hit" since it took three years for anyone to hear about it..
Playing devil’s advocate, what if it was a traffic stop or other innocuous fully clothed scene, and he was not informed it was actually a porno? I mean, it could happen.
I would have to see the film to give proper judgement.
Bragged all the time about his long hose...
According to earlier accounts, except for his uniform, the officer was completely nude.
