“Whenever someone here bashes other candidates, you can be pretty sure they are a Palin supporter.”
That has been my experience as well.
A shame really. She is great. These people, to the extent they are a factor at all, only take away from her greatness.
Sarah, like the rest, is nowhere near perfect. But I’d sure vote for her if she won the nomination.
But if she just sits back a while, never tries for the Republican nomination and eventually goes rogue as a third party, then she will rightly be seen as self-centered and a bit chicken.
And if she goes third party when any of Bachmann/Cain/Paul/Perry are heading the R ticket, then she is a Gore-level megalomaniac.
If Sarah believes she would be better than the R’s in the race, she should run as a Republican. The party is on the mend since hitting the pits of the compassionate conservative days. A grand conservative wave mostly benefited the R’s last year and we now have the House complete with TEA caucus, will almost certainly take the Senate next year and most likely the White House too.
Now is NOT the time to start going all Perot on us!
God created primary season just for this purpose... to clean up and re-focus the party. And it’s not something done from without the party, but from within.
I question the logic which says a conservative can’t win the Republican primary, but could win a three way in the general. Sarah, if you’re concerned that a Romney type might be the R nominee, then get in there and beat him dang it. In the proper venue. The primary.
Very well said.
