At least seven people were killed in a powerful bomb blast that ripped apart government buildings in Norway's capital. Shortly after the blast, a gunman opened fire at a youth camp outside Oslo. Police suspect the attacks are linked.
The bombing is the deadliest in Oslo since World War II. It tore open several buildings, including the prime minister's office. Prime Minister Yens Stoltenburg was not hurt.
U.S. government sources told ABC News there may have been multiple explosions and at least one of them was the result of a massive vehicle bomb. Windows were shattered at the 20-floor high-rise government headquarters building.
A Norwegian government official says there are people trapped in some of the buildings.
A senior U.S. diplomat in Oslo said they believe all personnel in the country are safe and accounted for.
Hours later, a gunman dressed in a police uniform opened fire at a political youth camp at Utoya, shooting several young people. Police Inspector Bjoern Erik Sem-Jacobsen said a suspect in the shooting has been arrested.
The camp is for young members, between the ages of 14 and 18, of the prime minister's Labor Party. Unconfirmed reports indicate five victims were hit by gunfire.
According to Norwegian TV, an unknown group called Helpers of the Global Jihad posted a message that said this was only the beginning.
The attack comes as Norway grapples with a homegrown terror plot linked to al Qaeda. Last week, a Norwegian prosecutor filed terror charges against an Iraqi-born cleric for threatening Norwegian politicians with death. It is unknown if it's connected with this attack.

Paging all Masters of the Obvious
Ah, those fun loving tolerant reliion of peace guuys again.
Meanwhile, the left bends over backwards to appease and kow-tow to those same savages while other nations berate us about how nice and cuddly the religion of peacers are.
Wish they’d all wake up.
Early word is that it was done by Oslo’s large, angry Hassidic community...
Well, I guess officially nobody wants to say this is Al Qaeda or a terrorist act. But this has all the hallmarks of Muslim terror.
Once the Euros do, there will not be a single Muslim left alive on the Continent.
you'll figure it out, meanwhile ya better give in to the jihad, just don't make them angry, no more cartoons, don't even mention freedom without checking with your new leaders
Religion of Pieces.

Over 500 kids on island, most between ages of 14-17
Possible bomb on island, situation chaotic as kids still hiding, not sure who to trust and bomb fears limiting search-and-rescue access
Shooter was “arrested” - how humane
What’s the percentage of muslims in Norway?
I’d pay good money to hear the bleating of the left if it comes to that.
My understanding is they voted to deport a radical mulla on Tuesday and he said this would be the retribution.
Let me guess - they were all shouting “Alluh Akbar?”
3 % in Oslo, according to FOXnews.
If this doesn’t wake up the Nordic countries, then their Norsemen genes must have been completely breed out of them.
Your 60-year experiment at being benign p*ssies has failed!
And they arrested the shooter! He didn't off himself and no one else shot him. I guess he ran out of ammo. He used a handgun and it is believed that 20-25 youths are dead. Unreal.
I hope the Norwegians can figure out quickly who did this so they will know who to surrender to.
